The Stoked Thread

!! No way, dude, Josh still rocks the pink hoodie? I'm way stoked, haha. Yay for Josh and ON3P!!! Wow, I miss him, haha.

Super stoked on seeing old friends and extra stoked on the boyfriend (especially since my parents love him). Yay. :)

Spent an evening at Northwest Ariel's learning rodeo's and backflips. Backflips are scary, but surprisingly easy and a huge confidence booster.

Josh is the fucking lincoln master. I watched him stomp one over waterfalls on Whistler, I've never seen anyone else attempt a lincoln off it. Dude lincolns everything. 80 feet though? What the fuck just happened.

josh has balls the size of watermelons despite being only 5'4". haha just kidding. for sure he's an amazing skier, and hopefully will help on3p with exposure. we just need to get him his pro model back.

i get to spend all day saturday looking at david's backside as i chase him up and down hills. helly hansen big mountain battle.

Keeping the 3.5 or greater GPA alive after just getting my Co-Op grade back.

Also stoked on a marketing class this spring.

Also, I failed to mention that the sun is going to be shining for the next 4 or 5 days straight, with highs in the mid-40s in the valleys.

Should be real nice.

I officially have all of my student loans paid off (well, until I end up taking out more for grad school), and my credit is finally good again! I'm NEVER letting my credit/debit cards out of my sight again.

Anddd I now have a second job! I'm working for the state as a forensic technician and the feds as a lab tech slash assistant research biologist. Money money money plus full benefits, fuck yeah!!!

My family and I are going to a therapist who happens to be the woman I went to in high school for the issues with my dad and shit. I really didn't want to go back then, so I refused to work well with her, but I'm really excited to be seeing her now. My family and I have a lot of rebuilding to do, and I'm soon having individual sessions with her so I can finally figure out ways to cope with a number of the traumatic things I've been through over the years.

And finally, I have surgery tomorrow to begin my road to recovery/treatment. Yay. :)

Good luck!

Stoked because I just had one of the most ridiculous nights ever. We went to Old Chicago and I was able to scam two free pitchers with the birthday thing, and four of us ended up drinking a pitcher each and eating for under $20. So I was kind of drunk at that point, and we went to a bar to go shoot some pool. Somehow, I just ended up with a full drink in my hand all the way up until closing without paying for a single one, which was fucking awesome. A good friend of mine then introduced me to her 23-year-old mostly lesbian friend who apparently thinks I am really, really, ridiculously good-looking (she also listens to slayer and pantera). So....yeah. I now think all of my girl problems stem from hanging out with straight girls, because she is rad. We're going to a show tonight, so I have a feeling things may somehow get more interesting if that is possible. Then this morning we had a breakfast of bloody maries with biscuits and gravy, then drank beer and shot pool until I had to go to class drunk at 3. Repeat tonight? I just got summoned, so I think so!

stoked to show up to take photos of a hockey tournament, and instead of taking pictures of 8-15 yr old kids, I'm shooting the national finals of women's college hockey.....

long story short I'm surrounded by a large percentage of hot, athletic chicks that are my age. all weekend. not often do the athletes i take photos of chill at our photo booth drinking beers...... a couple of who want a guided tour of debauchery tomorrow night, fingers crossed that happens, haha!

just got a keg of bozone select amber, and it's delicious. $155 a keg, but worth it. 5 pints in the last 2 hours, now going to bed after being awake for 28 hours, and climbing OUTSIDE tomorrow since it's supposed to be nice. stoked

Are kegs really worth it? I forget how much I paid for mine a lonnggg time ago, but I know I did the drunken math for a friend, and we'd decided that pouring 40's into a bathtub would be more economically friendly...

Neways, stoked that Mr. Beaudoin hooked me up with a shibby bottle of wine...which I'm drinking alone after work at 2:33 a.m....working nightshift sucks =(

yea, but then you're still drinking steel reserve out of a bathtub.

we figured for a keg of PBR vs. buying cases of PBR, we save $40 for the same amount of beer

So I have a lesbian girlfriend now. And my friends have started affectionately referring to me as "the converter." The camera was also out last night, so there may be some interesting photos of me circulating the internet soon....but for now, here is a good one of a few friends.

We could have a caption-writing contest, but there is really only one answer.

UTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

SUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

GOGGLE TAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Funny he should have mentioned quickness, he ran up the bootpacks with me huffing and puffing along behind.

Really fun day, and we got a bunch of schwag for our efforts. Results were super tight, the whole podium was within 5 minutes. Next year, we buy extra jetpacks to add to our Wrock3tships.

billy has my sharpied trailmap. we played hide and go seek with bamboo poles all over. the hikes were piss point, wenatchee bowl hike, and cowboy. why have you never taken me up cowboy ridge? those chutes and super steep and deep. i am never going anywhere else. im going to hop spines like sage c-a and go cowboooooooy.

i'm all high and forgot i came in here to actually report some stoke...
went to Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto at Rain last night with Lena after some sushi (orgasm)... Lena and i lasted until about 1am or so, before Paul even came on. i'm looking forward to the next time i have a room on the Strip, so i can run her back to the room, do our thing, then run back to the club to see Paul's set. Perfecto was pretty sweet, we just got way too turned on, way too fast. such is life.
at least now i know another supersweetradtotallyawesomefuntime thing to do if someone wants to come to do some rollin in Vegas.

This is the real reason I'm stoked.

I picked it up CHEAP. I had to buy a 30D w/BG-E2 grip as well, but got it all for $1,450. I know have to sell the extra 30D, the grip, (probably keep the extra battery) and my 28-135, cause I can't afford to keep it all.

Next on the list, a 70-200 f/4. Woo!

Sick, you're going to love that lens! The 70-200 f/4 is also really sweet, I have that one. Why get rid of the grip?

Money is the main reason. 2nd reason is I don't need the extra battery power or vertical trigger-thing right now. It is also heavier. Mainly, it is a luxury I can't afford right now.

I had a day off just chillin. Made corned beef with a brown sugar mustard glaze for dinner, with a tomato salad and roasted potatoes, zucchini and carrots. Mmmmm.

And I'm skiing tomorrow. Its going to be absolutely blower pow. I just hope the highway isnt closed from avalanches.
