The Stoked Thread

met up with Drew last night for a few drinks...

just ate a double stack and am getting ready to go to Wasted Space at the Hard Rock with Drew, my girlfriend, Lena, and my friend Steph. should be a good night! stoked!
 
3 ripe bananas

2 eggs

2 cups flour

1 tspn baking soda

3/4 cup sugar

pinch salt

(high alt. add 1 tbs milk per cup flour)

greased loaf pan

oven @350f (175c)

mix bananas and eggs in large bowl -- stir in flour, sugar, salt, baking soda (I add in some cinnamon for good measure, today i also added about a cup blueberries too)

throw brown sugar on top

bake for about 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick/wood skewer etc, comes out dry. let sit for a few minutes and get the house smelling all delicious.

slice up your loaf and enjoy some delicious banana bread
 
EPIC day at the mountain today. Lapped the park from 9:30 or so to close at 4, no breaks just granola bars on the lift. No clouds in the sky, felt like April.

Met up with Ethan Stone aka Kamikaze towards the end of the day and he got some follow cams of me for a couple runs. Peeped some of the shots at his house on the way down, looked pretty dope.

Yea its spring skiing in February, but oh well. Can't do anything about it so might as well shred some park.
 
Being a habs fan, I am disgusted by you calling the leafs "my team".

I am now forced to sacrifice a leafs flag in my back yard, to redeem myself.

Wife came home yesterday, she made friends with a woman on the train ride home, whose husband is the Director of Marketing at Magic Mountain. In a few years, it may help me out. Who knows.

Drew and i had the most epic time last night and i'm pretty sure we're long-lost brothers. between seeing Skid Row with the Las Vegas Penny Lane, taking three double stacks, getting amazing backrubs from my dream-come-true girlfriend (she ended up being the topic of the night... everyone and their mom loves her) then to have her drive us up and down the Strip blasting house, going to a strip club (not even sure which one) for a few minutes just to be pulled out and sent out into the night on our own... GREAT FUCKING TIME. oh yeah, making $100 for helping a damsel in distress wasn't so bad, either.
not gonna lie, that was probably the best night of partying i've had since i moved here... spent way more money than i should have and
also, stoked that Drew got to meet Lena... i've dated a lot of girls, i've been head-over-heels for girls before, but i've never in my life felt for anyone how i feel for Lena. it was great to have Drew basically tell me she's the best thing that'll ever come my way, i'm not just dreaming, and i need to make sure to never let her go- he got my two bi girl friends out here to threaten me with sodomy if i lose Lena. seriously, i met her a week ago and i'd marry this girl right now if i could. ask Drew- i'm not losing my mind, this girl really is everything i try to make her out to be. i love Lena :)

This has probably been the best 2 weeks I've had in a long time. 2 full weeks of skiing awesome terrain and some fresh snow, chillen with some of my best friends, random rides around BC and sleeping on couches. I wanted to be a full ski bum of a trip and fully succeeded. (Just don't tell the GF I am so stoked)

haha, skied vail pass today, and built a booter, so much carnage, almost nothing was landed cause the landing wasnt steep enough, haha, the only thing i landed was a front where i just stuck in the landing gymnastics style. though the snow was pretty good, got some good lines in the trees and had fun on one cliff we found that we could launch.
 
Hell yeah, Ethan is awesome! Did he move to Govy like he said he was going to? I haven't talked with him in a couple of months (unfortunately), but we keep planning to meet up again and never do (I haven't seen him in four years, fuck!). I had his German dictionary that he left until Ninja decided to shred it a few months ago. You guys ski together often? Come to Portland!
 
yep. back in the day i used to have actual questions but was to be scared shitless to post on the K2 forums cause of him.

when i met up with him and les at squaw it was obvious that he just wants to have fun in life.

and put up with my whining after i snapped my thumb.
 
I just got home from a wicked family trip to Quebec (St. Anne) :D (yeah i know, family = no strippers and no crazy shit, whatever)

Yesterday I got to ski a foot and 1/2 (more in some places) of the lightest powder ever (and it was on the fucking EC!) till the last run of the day. Holy fuck do I love pow skiing in the glades *drool*. I must have eaten a liter or two of snow from having my mouth open hollering in bliss while getting crazy faceshots in the trees...so epic!

Plus when i got home, in my search to locate the ipod touch i lost before the trip, I managed to clean out the massive pile of shit i have been pack-ratting away in my closets for the last 4 years which was a huge job that too no time because i actually wanted to do it for some sick reason...weird but sweet that its finally done

Plus i ended up finding my ipod which made me feel 20lbs lighter cause i was stressing :P

Aaaaaand i busted out the vaporizer or the first time since the summer and im just fucking tuned in perfectly :D

 
I just watched a bunch of old people in suits and dresses stand up and clap for a hip hop song at an awards banquet. It was really really cool, and funny to me because they all were doing the same thing they do at church. Neat stuff.
 
great. now that people are finding out i'm actually a nice person i won't be able to get away with being a total asshole on here anymore.
Drew, i've had the week of my life and am stoked i got to share it with ya. Lena had a great time with us (she's an angel... i've never in my life met a girl who loved every side of me, including the extremely high side) and told me last night we need to hang out with you again SOON.
i'll write more later- my laptop's dying and i don't have anywhere to plug it in. Lena says "chow!" i, of course, will just say goodbye... sexy ;)

just one more time, i'm stoked as fuck on my hot Serbian girlfriend who's an absolute angel.
 
No, hiked out onto Big Chief mtn from Southern Cross, dropped into one of the chutes on the frontside. It was steeeeeep.

meh, i'll get over it... i don't think that side will be coming out for a long time, anyway. i've been the happiest person in the world this past week and something tells me that's going to continue...

Drew, funny story... i could definitely tell the first night we kicked it that you were kinda trying to figure me out... spiked hair, cocaine shirt, already drunk and high when i picked you up from the Luxor, and a notorious online reputation- i can see why i'd be a bit confusing. the second night you were in town, no offense, but i'm happy with the way things worked out- you got to go gambling, win money, and spend time with your mom, i got to have sex on ecstacy for the first time with the most beautiful thing i've ever set my eyes on, everyone wins. then Friday night... Friday night i found a new great friend, had my madness over my girl affirmed by EVERYONE (seriously, Drew and Steph made sure to drill it into my head that she's amazing), rolled my nutsack right off, and partied all over town until sunrise.

Yes! Haha, he's working at Ski Bowl and living in Govy. I ski with him every once and a while, usually only when I go fridays since he usually tries to avoid weekend crowds. I know, I need to actually stay in Portland for a night at least instead of just doing day trips, soon hopefully.

btw, i appreciate the comment about my judge of character. i don't like hanging out with bad people (there's a difference between sarcastic, slightly douchy people and truly bad people).
you might have also noticed i only have hot friends and they're all girls. this is not by accident. in fact, you're just hot enough to be my friend (Lena was sure to let me know you were very attractive... she's European, they're kinda open about these things- she also let me know Steph has nice tits, like i had to be told), plus Lena would kill me if i broke up with you.

Skied pow at Stratton yesterday with some boarders. All was good until we decided to cut into the woods to get over to an old t-bar line. Apparently two of the boarders nailed a few trees and had to take the meat wagon down. I didnt see the carnage as I was way ahead of them and already into the line. Doesnt look like their injuries are that bad though. Luckily nothing was torn or broken but both of them are in immobilizers for a bit. After that we lapped the park a few times and I finally got the feeling of jumps again and it was great. Last run of the day my ticket was pulled and I was escorted off the premises...again. Fuck you Stratton!
 
Don't know yet, it was an eBay purchase. I know, I know, super risky to trust the seller that it "sounds great," but I saw it and fell in love. It's my "Happy Tax Return Day" present to myself. I only paid maybe 1/3 - 1/2 of what it's worth, so if I have to take it somewhere and get it tuned up a little, it would still be well worth it.
 
It actually snowed at Whistler! 25cm! But it is now Monday morning and I am at work. At least it's something though. Oh, and stoked on Liam Downey's article.
 
One paper down this week, one more to go! Too bad I just finished the easy one.....but still, it is one less that I have to worry about.

I don't know who I'll be seeing because the first 3 games are "qualification playoffs" and the last one is a quarter final. I know I won't be seeing Canada in the Quarters (they play at a different time if they make it), but hopefully I can see them in one of the qualification games.

But ya, I have 7.5 hours of hockey to watch in one day. Pretty pumped.
