it just hit me what that pic could mean for Lollapalooza this year... i'm flipping the fuck out. Trent, Dave, Eric, Stephen, and Perry on the same stage? i'll bring a gun to shoot myself once the show's over, cause it'll never get any better than that. that shit would top Alive 2007, Satellite Party in 07, and NIN in 08 all combined in NO TIME.

JA is doing a show in LA tomorrow night... tickets are $10. trying to figure out if i can make it (about a 2% chance). seriously, fucking Jane's Addiction for $10?! only four hours away??? only excuse i have is being broke until Tuesday :P
 
Second day at CB. Met up with Pete, who took me over to Highland. Ripped a super fun line. 3 hop turns, mandatory 7 footer, 20 more feet into a 4' wide, 30' straight-line chute, riding the sluff between rocks and a big ass tree, hard turn left, ride the gnar to the bottom through the trees. Mandy, we should've bought a helmet cam.

Woke up next to one of my High School ex-girlfriends Friday morning. It was completely unexpected, hadn't seen her in almost a year, but I definitely enjoyed seeing her again and catching up. we'll see where things go

I just went and did my first real portrait shoot with the new flash, it's pretty rad-tastic. It was a little hurried, but I am still pretty happy with the results given that this was my first time using an external flash.

holy shit... Lena, this girl i met on Valentine's Day and have since been completely enthralled by, seems to be EXACTLY what i thought i'd never meet. unless there's some terrible curveball she's going to throw me, i think it's safe to say life just got awesome for the foreseeable furture :)
 
thankfully, this isn't the Crying Game... nope, she's just rad as hell and able to keep up with me (ask Lesley or Willfro- i can be a bit much). Drew, there's about a 100% chance you'll meet her if you don't stand me up on our date on Friday.
keep your fingers crossed for backstage at Skid Row... i'm going to hang out with Steph again tomorrow, so i'll light a fire under her ass to try to make it happen. that would be rad as fuck.
 
Sushi Aoki...Broadway and Maple (ish).I don't know anything about Japanese food, but my buddy who just got back from living in Japan always goes there because it's cheap and authentic.

i personally think audis are getting a little played out,(by this i mean, and cf take note of this, one of my friends saw 23 audis on the way from our local wal mart to her house, about 10 miles in middle of nowhere northern michigan) but they still are fine vehicles and great fun to drive.

Luckyiam and The Sandpeople show tomorrow night! Going with my buddy, Tyler, who worked for me at the Aquarium back in the day. I haven't seen him in two years, and he used to be one of my close friends, so I'm stoked!!

My parents get here on Sunday, and Zane's out of here on Saturday! Woo!

I'm so stoked to get back to Alaska. Not stoked on treatment, but I'll be doing my old job at US Fish & Wildlife Service (sea otter necropsies, mostly) and living with one of my best friends, Brooks. I love him! It'll be nice to be around my parents again, too, now that I've grown up a lot.

There's a good chance I'm moving to Florida after my treatment's over. I have an amazing job opportunity down there in my career field that pays well, and I'd have free school, room, and board. YEAH!
 
Brian, great news: your Thursday classes just got canceled for the day! Looks like you can come after all, haha.

the M5's are super super badass. if i wasn't a college student and actually had some income, i would totally get one of those or an M3. Both in all white or all black of course. Did you think about getting a tuck at all though? something like one of the new tundras or chevy vortec max's or the new sierra denali GT

my local Starbucks girl turned out to be one of the coolest people i've ever met, period. we're stoopid for each other. things are fucking awesome now :)

Oh my god. So my friend, Tyler, wasn't able to make it up from Newport for the Luckyiam show, so Zane, our friend Skyler, and his girlfriend, Sarah, and I got tickets to the Blazers vs. Grizzlies game.

SO FUCKING FUN! Our seats were about ten rows back from our sixth row seats at the game against the Cavs, and it was SO much more fun back there! Rich, snotty people were sitting next to us at our other seats, but the REAL hardcore fans surrounded us at these. I was going wild all game and drinking tons of $8 pints of Drop Top... had three close-up shots on TV of me during the game for some reason, haha. Sarah (the other one) had never been to a game before. She turned out to be pretty cool even though she didn't really know what was going on.

Afterwards, Zane and I went to the Dublin to see Josh... I had to piss REALLY bad, so I gave Josh a quick hug and then bolted for the washroom. When I came out, everyone (the regulars and employees) at the bar was talking about how they'd seen me on TV a bunch that night during the game (apparently the super sexy new cook recognized me, but Josh had sent him home because he wasn't feeling well by the time I got there... DAMNIT! I'd definitely take him home, haha). Got wasted for free, as usual, and then went home and passed the FUCK out.

Oh yeah, and I bought the movie "Choke" yesterday (from another of Palahniuk's books...) and have yet to watch it. So I'm going to go do that and eat my leftovers from the Original Pancake House yesterday morning... So fucking amazingly delicious! Yesterday was the tits.
 
^When I go to hockey games, I'd almost rather sit way up in the middle of nowhere...that's where the real fans are! Everyone is drunk, yelling, and having the time of their lives...actually giving a shit about the game, and not their client that they must entertain for the evening.

And I miss the restaurant my father used to manage...when I went in there, everything was freeeeeeee...superb!
 
Fun day skiing today, cathartic after all the other disappointment in my life right now. Hiked and slayed a gnarly line I've been eyeing all year, billy goating is fun. Ran around and shredding spring like snow and corn, and then spend the rest of the afternoon in the park. Felt good and comfy, started re-learning threes and nailed one with a grab by the end of the day. Feels good for sure. Haha, and I 180'ed over a flat down box, weeee.

*Sigh*

Still is the best activity I've found to take my mind off my problems.
