i totally forgot to mention this. stoked that Fred went and picked up a 3-foot glass gravity bong with one of the largest bowls i've seen in a while. needless to say, i have a good reason for forgetting to mention it.

just finished a fifth of Pendleton and about to go out and get even more fucked up with the rest of portland. woot. although tomorrow will suck....

Election stoke. It is taking everything that I have to not go and yell at the top of my lungs in front of my republican friends doors.

I'm stoked on the win but I'm concerned about his supporters taking it easy now. There's still a lot of work to be done and many ways to do it.

 
Lucky. It is like mid-September here. i have the windows open. Weird that just last week at this time it was 30 and snowing...
 
yeah, it's been pretty cold here, but sunny the past couple weeks since our last snow, good for hiking rails and working on the goggle tan.

Might be getting a raise and a "promotion"

It's not much. Just from a standard front desk agent to a "Head" Front desk agent. I know a tiny bit more info, and not mcuh additional responsibility, and it's an extra $1/hr pay and will look better on a resume.

I was recommended for the position to my manager by my supervisor, so we shall see.

Really though, it's more than I was expecting already. I'm in this gig for school, and I was thinking that if I shine this year I MAY be able to get some supervisory position for next year in my co-op. However, I was completely expecting to be riding bitch and low man on the totem pole all this winter, and to be a step up from bitch is a step in the right direction and a sign that I am doing well.
 
cut him some slack... this is an uphill battle, and anyone that thinks change will happen overnight is disillusioned. People just want to feel hope right now, and i think they should. It doesn't mean we should have unrealistic expectations but no matter what BUSH is out, and that in itself is a victory.
