The Stoked Thread

One more midterm this afternoon, and then I am starting my weekend early! Hopefully I destroy this one as much as I have all the others, but I have a strong feeling that this won't be the case. Regardless of the outcome, there is still beer at the finish line.

I think David is talking about the U.S. Once it got over $4 and moved towards $4.50 a gallon, people did start to change though david, if it hovered around $4.50-$5.00 for a a year or two I think you would see alot of change.

I can't lie however, there really is no way around it, I could not afford to ski this year with gas at $4.50 a gallon, it just costs too much to get to the mountains, I will carpool no matter what the price of gas is, but $4.50 is too expensive.

to put it lightly. i met him through a friend's brother and did my best to keep my distance. as you can see from his rap sheet, he's a career criminal, though, so he did a fair amount of fucking me and my friends over before he was arrested again. he was out on parole and less than a week away from being off when he was picked up and since it was his 7th felony, they threw the book at him. it says his earliest release date is tax day, next year, but from what his ex just told me, they're making him finish out his previous sentences before his 4 years for selling to an undercover begin. in other words, he's in prison for around the next ten years. i am so stoked, i can't even describe it.

Stoked on cold returning after this weekend. It's so great seeing snow in the morning.

Also, possible east coast storm developing early next week and pushing through the interior Northeast. It would be a decent snowstorm if it plays out that way and materializes.

There was a new guy at work today. Pretty cool dude. Found out he's an avid skier, so it could be another shred buddy, stoked.

lindsay is rubbing her hands together

i quote:

In America, we typically rub our hands together as an expression of

glad anticipation of something good about to happen, and especially, of

a tasty meal about to be served. Additionally, if our hands are cold,

we rub them together as we blow our warm breath on them...

Because this expression, "rub the hands together" as one "blows into

them" is found in the religious poetry of an ethnic group in SE Asia

haha ok... maybe i'm just stoned but wtf? haha

just found this pic... hahahahha... i was so pleased with myself for capturing it, always makes me giggle.

Finally submitted a MASSIVE quote that has been occupying my time and sanity for the last 2 weeks. huge load off my shoulders

joel tudor is a funny guy

It is crazy. 40+ total features. Some of it is tucked in the woods, some is in the middle of narrow runs.

Completely awesome.

pwning Fred in Tiger Woods 09, found some uber dankness, and met a dealer who seems pretty legit... we'll have to see how things play out. all around, pretty stoked.

Party after Party.. Another Party.. and then Midterms, school, and work.

How am I going to keep up with this.

Last night was unreal with the premiere of Thats It Thats All. Redbull was all over this event. We also tied the Ski and Snowboard club into this with a pubcrawl after this.

At 7pm we had like 300 people, who all ski and board, packed into a club getting their drink on with a dope showing of That It Thats All. We had Jager Bombs on super cheap. We were just giving away redbull. We had beers on cheap. I heart sponsors. It was sick. I love organizing shit like this now. So ya we started the night there and peaced around 9:30 to head to the other clubs with about 150 people for the night to continue.

But stoked on the solid night. Soo many girls. Soo much alcohol. I can say that people who ride know how to party!

This edit makes me wanna ride soooo damn bad

Stoked I got to hang out with my cousin last night. She lives in new York and I hadn't seen her in a couple years. Went and saw Martin Sexton in concert, amazing show, then kicked it at some bars for the rest of the night and caught up.

had job training today for avalanche control team.

"ever made bombs before?" "well ive taped fireworks together" "oh, we use ammonia and fertilizer"

so stoked for the season to start.

That sounds like a kick ass job interview for sure!

Stoked because I did my dreaded self-portrait today and found out that I may not be totally void of talent when it comes to hand-sketching stuff.

Tomorrow I develop the film ones and find out if the skills were applied evenly at all...

you did that shit already? I guess you're not quite the procrastinator that I am. I went climbing. this will probably get done tomorrow night

Tonight my boss gave me the front of the house, the busiest section, plus the private dining room (on a Sat night!). She told me she has great faith in me. I walked out with $350 after tipping out. Woot!

In other not stoked news, the private dining room I had stiffed me hard! A $364 check, and they tipped me $12. WTF? That's 3.5%. Since they're regulars, my boss is going to email them to find out why. Maybe they thought they had shitty service? NOT! I'm kick ass.

no way... i bet you anything they thought the tip was included. hopefully they'll throw down some extra cash for your superb serving skills as soon as they know.

Yeah, we've come to that conclusion. Even though they're regulars and have had this room plenty of times before (and no where on the bill does it state the tip was included). Its either that, or they really did think I did a piss poor job. =(
