The Stoked Thread

Got back from a two week fire dispatch in Oregon on Friday with just enough time to get to the airport to pick up my girlfriend. We the spent 2 days at "The Lodges" in Deer Valley- a 4 or 5 star resort depending on who you ask. The room we were in goes for $650 a night during the ski season but I got a hell of a deal on it.

When we got to the resort and checked in we ordered food and wine to our room. We spent most of the weekend just spending time in the room together- something I'd only do at such a nice place. It was a great way to relax after two very hard weeks and it was so good to be with my girlfriend- this summer has been hard. Can't wait till I'm back in Boulder on the 2nd of November.
 
stoked that the chick that was assessing my insurance claim had no idea about computers so i managed to get all of my upgrades priced out as seperate items, when really they should have just been included as stock in a new laptop.

eg 120gb hdd was listed as seperate

ram was seperate

vista os seperate

also im super stoked that one of the companies the gave a quote to insurance waay overquoted! they said a replacement laptop would be 1800, it only cost me 1200 3 years ago hahaha

the other company only quoted 700 though so the took the average, but still at least i have enough from insurance thanks to the first company to get a replacement laptop.

Oh man stoked. Went longboarding downtown with two buddies of mine, such a good time. Rode 4 parking garages, met some dude and his girlfriend who were riding shortboards, took a couple runs with them, ran around Rochester causing a ruckass...... oh yeah and we found an abandonded shopping cart and two of us longboarded along side it to guide while the 3rd rode in it...... down a hill in the middle of the city hahahah

my friend won broncos tickets to next weekend's game. they good seats too, but we're gonna scalp them and try to trade 2 good for 3 mediocre.
 
Yeah I got their email on Friday saying it had snowed a bit. Whats their deal with snowmaking this year? Are they going all out like Snow is?
 
No. November 14th is opening. They are not going to be pushing the envelope for the earliest opening day. April 19th is the scheduled closing day, and that may be adjusted as the conditions and skier numbers dictate.

In the future, they MAY return to the long season, but for now, they are trying to get the mountain and amenities up to par after ASC ran the place towards the ground trying to pay their corporate loans and stay afloat.
 
I just found $140 of my money that I somehow forgot about. How on earth I did that is beyond me, but I'm glad I stumbled upon it =)
 
Very stoked that I might sell my truck back to Toyota. I heard about a rust recall a few months ago but thought mine wasn't bad enough. Well I'm rolling around down there checking on some rattle yesterday and I found a huge rust hole right over both my leaf spring mounts in the frame. If I sold it back I could get up to 12,000 for a truck I bought for 9900 two years ago.

Only problem is I'd miss my truck, and have to go through all the shit to find and purchase another one. Plus my tacoma generation is bad on rust so I'd have to buy an older one or a newer one. I think I'm just gonna get a beater, lucky I still got the suby. We'll see how this pans out but hopefully I'll have a new truck before winter comes around.
 
My company moved my flight from 7:30 to noon so I wouldn't miss the That's It That's All premiere. What's up employee appreciation!
 
Not our fault your team keeps choking at the last minute. Better than choking in the DS, LS, or WS I guess though...

A Wednesday night isn't exactly convenient to get in the car and drive 180 miles each way to watch a snowboard film that doesn't involve free RBVs all night

Went to the top of Killington today for class. Snapped some awesome photos from the peak. Mt Mansfield was off in the distance, and the upper dome looked to be white. Not sure if it truly was snow, but it sure looked like it from a far.
 
hahaha hell yeah, earlier this year i skitched all the way across campus behind a cute chick driving an RIT golf cart, it was great hahaha.

good thing none of the Segway-security cops saw me, haha!
 
also stoked that we went through more than a page in one day in the stoked thread, it took me like 10 min to read everything when I got home tonight, hahahaha

damn... $1.89/L here. down from $2.18 earlier in the year, but im sure its gonna go up again cause our dollar has devalued massively in the last few days. ghey.
