The Stoked Thread

jeaa just got a phone call from a guy I do some website work for.. offered me a pretty much full time work over the summer in his warehouse business. sole charge over Jan too which will be awesome to have on my cv if I nail it.. gonna find out about it on friday.. hoping it works out well. It'll save me the hassle of finding a job too, especially since I've been pretty slack over the past 2.5 years and haven't had a part time job while at uni, so I don't have many references on my cv
 
last day of work for the summer. stoked.

going to Las Vegas with my buddy, Fred, my dad, and his pal, Dan, who also happens to be "that high roller" you always dream about going to Vegas with in two days. yeah, it's my third trip with him... [/claim]. stoked.

moving to Vegas in EXACTLY two weeks. stoked.

a girl i'm VERY interested in is going to be visiting me for the first two weeks i'm living in Vegas. incredibly stoked.

found my piece that Fred and i thought had been stolen from our place last night. turns out, Fred just got too high and couldn't remember where he put it... figures. stoked.

scored a free sixer of Labatt from work on my way out. stoked.

Fred should be picking up two ounces tonight. stoked.

i should cease to be sober in roughly an hour. stoked.

all this, and for whatever reason, i feel tired and morose...

On a more stoked note, my local mountain is having a invite-only rail jam with sick prizes and I'm on the list! 11 Days!!!
 
stoked how things are going with the new girlfriend, class, work, everything seems to be going right for once.

just called my dad to stoke about Vegas with him and he gave me some truly epic news. his buddy, Dan, just won $123,500 at a craps table in four shooters after buying in for $2,000. his next craps table will be in Vegas with ME. he didn't cash or deposit the check, he's planning on depositing it at his account at the Venetian/Palazzo, so i should have an AMAZING time this weekend. seriously, just got the news and i'm shitting my pants. no, really, i have to go change...

fucking shit, i'm stoked.

I got my K staff pass today, as well as the breakdown on discounted passes for friends and family. $49 weekend and holidays, and $29 midweek passes. I just need to be present at ticket purchase.

Yeah, it's a pretty good deal IMO. It's not limited really to a certain number of passes or anything either. Weekends/holidays are usually $79 so that's a good $30 off a ticket.

Only catch is I must be present when the ticket is purchased, so you can only reap the benefits if you plan on shredding with me.

What should we name it? We can all collaborate some footy of whatever and wherever over the year and edit it all together. =P
 
I think we could pit everyone's footy together, release it post IF3, or whatevs. Maybe a narrative, something, people meeting up and filming stuff...

I dunno, we got some skiers, some good creative talent, and personality. Could be cool.
 
I can count on my two hands the number of times I've skied at a place with more than 1,000 feet vertical!!!!!
 
found a bunch of weed and was drunk before 8. now, i'm waiting for Fred to get back to tha crib so we can head out into the night. tomorrow- Chicago. the next day- VEGAS. in exactly 48hrs, i'll be sitting at dinner in Delmonico's Steak House, eating a $60 steak, drinking $300 bottles of wine, and then heading to a swinger's club to fuck the shit out of some delicious piece of ass. did i mention i'm drunk? haha, and stoked!
 
btw, i LOVE Chicago, so i'm equally stoked on spending a couple nights in my hometown as i am in spending the weekend in my new home. :) seriously, the happiest i've been in a couple weeks.

If you like Thai food theres a new restaurant opening in the Wynn resort or hotel whatever its called. I highly recommend it (obviously after your $60 steak tehehe).
