The Stoked Thread

Caleb is in here, and he just turned 17. Members get invited, because someone has seen positive come from them, and feels they can bring that into the cult. While I also agree that 16 is pretty young, I will vouch that blondie is not some random kid picked out of NSG. So, I have no worries at the moment. Just drop it for now, and see what happens.
 
On friday I'm going on my first date since.....high school? Time flies when you're ski bummin' and going to school, I suppose. Anyways, we're going to get pizza from some friends who work at the nice place in town, then go drink a bunch of wine (emphasis here) and go to the art show downtown. And then....I have a feeling I won't be getting up early to go ride Teton Pass saturday.

This will hopefully get me through the week!
 
That's how we were doing it for a bit. Stowebum and blondie were the only recent ones who weren't voted on.

And can we not waste thread space on Aspen? You know the answer you'll get. Ha.

So I was just telling Lesley about my night last night, and it stoked me out all over again, so I'm gonna post here.

I took the kids, my mom and brother (who also works there) to eat at the restaurant. I started out with a caramelized vidalia onion tart w/goat cheese on a puff pastry. Then, Marybeth sent us out a surprise mid course. I received the scallops that are pan seared on one side, served with this yummy sweet corn and bacon 'chowder'. Then for my dinner I had some grilled shrimp & polenta. And the polenta is soooo good because they cook it in heavy cream and add lots of pepper flakes to give it a spicy kick. And for dessert I had a peach tart with their homemade mint ice cream, which I've said before in here, orgasm in the mouth.

Then the kids started getting antsy so I asked Jon for the check. I opened up the check presenter and it said "Thank You from the Peekamoose" - no bill. Marybeth comped the whole thing. I expected a discount, but not a free meal. So I left Jon $50. Awesome night fo sho.
 
Les, you're awesome and all, but i can't believe you actually like Aspendukes... i feel the same way about her as i do about herpes. if Aspen's added, she will not be well-recieved and i'd really rather not need to be a meanie, but i'll do what it takes to get her out of here. one of my favorite things about PH is that i don't have to read her assclown posts. i've heard queefs that were more intelligent than her...
 
oh yeah, i came into this thread for a reason.

stoked to see my brother today. he's getting into town from Boston and it'll be really good to see him.

You clearly took Le's post too seriously. Pretty sure that no one in here really likes her.....they were using that stuff called sarcasm. I don't know if you've ever used it before. You should try.
 
well, between Les' and Drew's posts, it sounded like you guys thought she was entertaining and, thus, should be invited back.

we should really be discussing this stuff in a different thread, though.
 
and don't give me attitude today or tomorrow. any other day of my life, but not these two days. today and tomorrow, i'm not above even telling Les to fuck off.
 
I'm very stoked on the hate Danny Kass is getting after his ass backwards comments. (see Ski Gabber for more details)

I've got nothing but love for my snowboarding family but don't call out skiing. We're equal partners when it comes to fighting FIS, getting more money for parks, pipes, and heli's.

Danny Kass has always been an arrogant asshole in my eyes. He's a gnarly ass snowboarder, for sure, but his personality sucks. One year he went back to his home mountain, Mtn. Creek in Jersey, to do a special event. He had tons of kids following him around, wanting to talk and shred with him. He did the comp, got pissed at the conditions (its the EC baby, expect it), gave his bib away, didn't do anymore interviews, and that was it.

Don't watch this whole video, Tony Lanza's voice (and horrid lingo) will kill your eardrums. But do watch :50 - 2:00.

New iPod nanos look sick. They have an accelerometer. You shake them and songs will shuffle. New colours are awesome too. New iPod touches are so ridiculously thin I can't believe it. Unfortunately no 64 GB model. But the thing I'm really stoked on is iTunes 8 (goes live tomorrow) and iPhone 2.1 software (THANK GOD!) for friday. Woo!
