The Stoked Thread

Barely Dead brings back a lot of sick memories. I stopped skating when ski season started, came back, and two of my really good friends turned pro. Jay got 2nd in his first pro vert comp when he was 15. Stuff like that's unbelievable.
 
Well there's still the store in Quebec. I tried to get the scoop yesterday, met the guy who runs the SF store but he disappeared before i got the chance to ask him, seems like a cool dude tho. I honestly think one of the main reasons it works in SF is because of the location, Haight street is prime, plus they have a lot of dope artists in there, throw pretty sweet parties with open bars, etc.

I'm stoked cuz they were really cool and told me to bring in flyers for the resident group show that i'm curating and a part of in october! dope.
 
So after i bought my season pass for Alpine (resort a mile away from my cabin) I heard a rumor that the guy who does our park might not be coming back, and there might not be a park at all. Needless to say i was not stoked in the least and really hoping it was just a rumor.

stoked on smoking weed tomorrow! most nights when i go to bed i'm like "ugh, passing out. morning, don't even THINK about showing up anytime soon" but tonight i'm all stoked about going to sleep and getting up tomorrow to SMOKE WEED. it feels like Christmas, only i actually believe in this stuff and i'm going to set my presents on fire.

it was a super sunny beautiful day (got a little burned), I scored some more doja, had some kick ass beer, danced my booty, and spent quality time with my cousin... STOKED! :)

 
Beach all day just laying in the sun next to a super clean lake.

Went to Jax on the Killy access road tonite and had some Magic Hat #9 drafts and listened to Rick Redington shred it. Guy holds it down with some chill music with some killer guitar work.
 
I am now an employee at Killington. Working front desk at the Killington Grand Hotel this winter.

Next year I will hopefully do something more ops orientated.

Took my car into the shop today for issues I'm having in the front end. It's not as bad as I thought ('bout $300 worth), and even if it doesn't get fixed before IF3, he said it'd be cool to drive it up there. So yay!
 
Well the wheel shaking was from unbalanced tires, easily fixed. And he said my coil springs are going and need to be replaced. And they know about the trip, so they'll try and get the parts in and my car fixed before next Thurs.
 
Just went to B&H and ordered a Canon 70-200 f/4 USM and a couple other goodies, it's going to be sweeeeet! Now I don't have to worry about getting hit when I take ski pictures, which will be pretty nice.

Oh yeah, I also got a random check for $256 in the mail today. I'm not really sure why I got it, but it's definitely offsetting the cost of what I just spent.

I'm fixing mine so I can ride before summer's over. Just got new tires last weekend and now I gotta put brakes on. I'm just riding a little 250, that thing you got there looks like a beast.

I need to get a bike badly but Im scared shitless about the other drivers. While I was in NH a few weekends back with the family, my uncle who has an old school harley was convincing my Dad to get me one. It is about time considering I started riding when I was 4. I want the 650 Dakar Ive been drooling over for years but the payments on it would be stupid
 
Nice bike, be safe out there. Don't ride like a jackass like a lot of sport bikers do, and watch out for all the shitty drivers!
 
^ If I ever turn into a squid, every PH member is required to beat my ass.

So there's no confusion, squids wear tank tops, shorts, and skate shoes to ride, take curves slowly, and roll with an extended, chrome swingarm. No cheap shots or you'll get my raging fists of fury.
 
Duh.

So the guy tells me 2 mins ago that he wants the newer version of these skis because his gf doesnt like the graphics. Fuck you
