See, this is why I should work in your office with you. We could totally of had an adventure right there. I mean, a suit, with a longboarding, and hot? Nothing to stop me. I would have a quest on my hands.
 
Stoked on punching out soon for a looong weekend down in DE at the beach. Camping and surfing and fishing and kayaking with friends till tuesday. I'll try and bring back some pics.

Our normal camp spot was booked up so friday and saturday night we are staying at a christian run campground.....this should be interesting.
 
dewd, i'd be kicked outta there in no time. i'd end up running around shitfaced with a joint just to show everyone there the 666 tat on my ass.

and that would be before noon. i have substance abuse and respect issues...
 
hahaha i think we all would get kicked out....then again, id rather sleep in my car then stay at a christian resort

Deep fried coke is NOT good. I repeat, not good. Quite gross actually.

This year the big things were supposed to be deep friend pizza on a stick and beef sundees. We didn't find either. And regular pizza on a stick is ok, but expensive. Only worth it to get once.

PS, I fucking love Stampede. I wish I could have spent more than one weekend there.
 
Nah it's just a campground, as far as I know they're not gonna come around and preach or anything. It's basically a church with a campground property I think. Of course it says you can attend church there if you'd like but screw that noise. At least Sunday checkout is bumped back to 1230 because of it.

I'm just wondering how uptight they're gonna be when we start crackin beers and playing music, we'll just have to hotbox some tents to keep the stinky out of the air as much as possible.

I hate how pushy and arrogant christians can be as much as the next person, but on the other hand I also believe some are genuine nice people. Just because I don't agree with someones views 100% doesn't mean I'm gonna try my hardest to upset them in regards to their views.

It's a patch of grass and some tree to throw the tent under, that happens to be close to the beach as far as I'm concerned.

 
The hat? like, the cowboy hat? First off, that isn't me, it's my friend Steve. And secondly, I love cowboy hats.

I had to lose the sleeves after hopping the railing off the balcony at Ranchman's. One sleeve ripped a little and it was past saving, so it was off with them both!
 
amazing. seriously i love the contrast between the detailed moss like grass and the out of focus trees that create such an amazing texture and frame for the whole composition. It's inviting, innocent, makes me a believer that there is still mystery and wonder alive among us. :) Thanks scott.

And Ranchman's is the place where they had the bar fight in Cool Runnings. There is a Jamican Bobsled hanging off the roof.
 
random...and thanks for the kindness folks. i was shooting a commercial gig for Martis Camp in Truckee (tahoe). they are an exclusive country club, golf course development and they had a big summer festival. they actually have a private access to the lift that serves lookout mtn on northstar. anyways, this kid was rad. all boy, just super rowdy. his mom was super hot and we exchanged cards. i'm going to send this to her after i do some more tweaks on it.
 
veteran, i'll be as kind as possible. i don't know what you folks do where you're from, but i'd say the rest of the world takes cowboy hats about as seriously as towel-heads.

ssssooooooooo........ tell skoganchick the only way she can get back in is if she makes a thread in NSG admitting to being the biggest whore in the history of NS. then, of course, don't let her back in the cult.
 
i'm aware of the first one. and because i can't take cowboy hats seriously, i must not get out? ooookk..... i'll let you know if that ever makes any sense.
 
dude, you'll love it. you can stop down so hard without worrying about shake. i shoot primarily weddings, so i get a lot of low light situations, it rips. it is well worth the investment, even though i know it is substantial.

I am sure that is a great feeling. The best part is you will have bragging rights at family reunions forever.

as for stoping it down it low light I am supper stoked. I really wished I had it on this trip. In the early morning and evening the 4 was a little to dark and I had to increase the ISO a bunch to avoid blur. Latter on the same trip down at Cape point I ran into an older guy who did it as his hobby, he had the 2.8 out so I started talking to him, and he said he bought it and the 400 2.8 just for the trip. I was jealous.
