The Stevens Pass Kicker Day

Alright, so heres an idea I've been wanting to try for a while, it might suck, but anyways.

So tomorrow we have snow in the forcast. I'm going to go make a kicker in Holiday Bowl, right around one of those knolls or something. I'm gonna be there all day hiking it, shaping it, forming the in-run, ect. People are welcome to ski over, introduce, and join. I thought it might be cool if we get lotsa peeps up there, we could get a good inrun and kicker/s (maybe two using just one inrun, that would be cool!) going. Doesnt matter if you're just a beginner to jumps or if you've been to the US Open this year. I might bring a camera or something too, depends on how many people show.

Anyways, I know this is a little short notice, but thats whats doing, the snows here this weekend. I'd like to go back next weekend, but we'll see if the snows stayed good. If you dont know where I'm talking about, here are directions:

From Tye Mill:

Ski down to the split between the frontside and the backside. Hike the trail that goes up the ridgeline thats between the two. You'll have to go over a steep ass hill, but then it flattens for a bit. There will be a viewpoint on your left. From there, you probably will be able to see where I'm building.

What to bring:

Well, this is out of bounds, so be smart. Bring what you'll need. We'll be kinda near flat, so avy danger wont be as bad as other parts, but be aware, and prepared as you can. Radio's and cell phones would be a good idea. Shovels and building tools would be great as well, I'll only be bringing like two. Also, bring yourself some water, and a camera if you want.

"Are my friends invited?" Yes! Snowboarders and skiers alike, its all cool. Come out, do a little work, hit our booter(s) a few times, its all good. If you just want to sit back and watch people go nuts, be all means, come down and watch.

I'll be rocking pretty much what I'm wearing on my profile, and my name is Rowen. Just give me a shout out, I'm pretty friendly as long as my knee doesnt hurt.

Thats about it I guess. Concerns? RSVPing? Post!

Size depends on how many people are there to stack snow blocks and smooth down an inrun. But I'll be there all day working, I kinda just want to see how big I can make something.

Im going up with a few friends, ill probably come check it out. I aint that good at freestyle yet but sounds like a good time.

No, my knee started feeling fucked up Friday night. Doctor doesnt think its anything serious, just a minor tendon got strained or something. Next weekend tho...

there's already about 4 kikers made up in that bowl. they were pretty sick in late january if i can remember.

Yeah, when I was last back there tho they all were buried as fas as I could tell. Saturday looks like a marginal day, I'll probably be hiking back there.

good shit up there today. very light and dry (for hte pnw). should be some good shit for this weekend in the bc
