I know a bunch of ns is anti religion. A recent posting of the Pale Blue Dot brought this movie to mind for me. Everybody was astonished and humbled from the Pale Blue Dot if you have time, it's long but interesting. It's 8 parts each about 9ish minutes but they will humble you even further, and possibly open your mind to new ideas/possibilities backed up by scientific evidence. I had the DVD but hopefully everything works with this embedding stuff.

I'm not trying to convert anybody to christianity, I'm still figuring out what I believe in myself, but this movie is pretty interesting. Especially if you like History/Discovery channel shit.

Good news, the las two videos are different uploads so it's only about 50 mins of video to watch. Sorry about the screw up.

Can you point me in the direction where he backs up anything he says by scientific evidence? Or what exactly he is set out to prove in the first place?

So far hes quoted the bible and misrepresented Kepler.

We'll I only studied Gay Asstrology. I dont know anything about regular astrology so i dunno. I think he's basing his evidence on the software that NASA and all those other astrology people use to calculate where the stars and planets were/are/going to be...
he is a lawyer, and the movie was sold for a profit so you have to take that into account. I'm not on his side or anything, i just think that scientific/real tangible evidence that supports the bible is interesting. Whether or not this lawyer is reputable in the field of astrology, I couldn't tell you.
But i don't think the software's accuracy is debatable...

Astronomy = science

Astrology = not science

His argument appears to be: "You look at the starts to do astronomy, and astronomy is a legitimate science; also, you look at the stars to do astrology, therefore astrology is also a legit science"

I dont see what he has proven... can you point to the part where he makes any sort of substantial claim backed by showing any evidence?

Omybosh:I was really wrong saying astrology... Your right.
Feels like ur putting me on the defensive, I'm not trying to defend christianity here.
The video is what I find interesting. You posted your first comment 14 minutes after I made the thread, I don't think you were to interested in watching the video, just being a dick to a guy who might possibly believe in something you don't....

I watched 10 minutes of video, waiting for him to actually say something intelligent. I couldn't watch much more of it without raging.

I just dont understand the point of these videos? What is he trying to say/prove, and what science is he using?
