I mite go to alyeska over thanks-giving-break. should I? whats the snow like? how much powder is still left? is it still snowing? could I use my armada ar6 with an 83 waist? do they have any park stuff set up up yet? should I rent if my skis are to narrow? i will be going with my family if i even go at all. But if there powder snow... I'll go

well ok i def wanna go. the oly thing holding me back is my parents its there choice. (im still a kid) so i cant drive or nuthin

You can go and stick that in your ass. jk

But yah, due to the really warm conditions the little amount of snow we had got compacted. Gayness

ok right now im at the alyeska resort hotel and the lift is closed for today and tommarow this sucks nuts, it was supposed to be open but due to avalanch danger its closed.

Oh wow. Well most of birch's already little snow melted because of the warm weather. It was slushy though, which made it kind of fun

not really. learning to ski here means you can ski anywhere. if you can do a 7 off of south face, you can probably do a 7 in any terrain park you visit.

Nooo, I wasn't saying that. Off course doing tricks of natural terrain is harder yet better practice. I was saying that with Alyeska's terrain and snowfall, alot of you take that stuff for granted now. People that ski on hills can get stoked on skiing any situations/terrain/etc. But if some of you guys came and skied on some of those hills, you would not have much fun because you got spoiled by growing up skiing at such a great and powdery mountain. I'm sure some skiers could get stoked on a couple inches of powder; you guys probably couldn't. I hope this made sense...

haha beautiful attempt at being condescending... HOWEVER, you are completely wrong about the lot of that do ski alyeska on a regular basis. i have been a season pass holder there for probably 12 years, and i never passed up even the potential of skiing for a half an hour. we ride ice for half the season, only because of our love for that mountain. the possibilities are endless there, and we definately dont take that for granted. no this doesnt apply to everyone that rides the mountain, but the core group of skiers that i have ridden with at that mountain abide by the same beliefs. so take your condescending "dont know what we have" act and shove it up your ass.
