I've recently got into them..but i'm really far into them now..ohhh man soo many really really good songs my favorites include Today, Zero, and Tonight Tonight..Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness is soo amazing.

I didn't much like their newer stuff much. 'Rotten Apples' is a great best of album though, I reckon their best songs ever are:

yeah i'm not really a big fan of the whole marlyn manson style stuff..but corgan's new band looks good..and i'm glad i jumped on late..i wouldn't want to like them because of being into like whole music phase..i like them as a band

i just heard zwan on tv i know its the same bass player from smashing pumpkins and as someone else said drummer but there is to other guys i don't nkow who they are though but they are pretty damn good

Siamese dream is an amazing album. Up there with Nevermind as one of the best Alterna-punk albums of the 90s.

every smashing pumpkins song is good. mellon collie is an amazing album. i got their 5 cd boxset for $25 brand new, good deal. all their music videos are good and their music is even better. that is all.

 
Just like any good band it breaks up, then releases a greatest hits album. All their albums are memorable, Cherub Rock is the nostalgic one fer me. Rotten Apples is great if you want everything they did well in one CD.
