they didnt show rollerblading in the x-games because people who were suppose to compete in it, didnt want to. chris haffey qualified, but didnt want to because the x-games are such bullshit. a bunch of others were giving them a hard time about competition schedules. so the x-games dropped rollerblading entirely.
as of know, being a rollerblader myself, it is underground. and people dont "shun" it. they just dont know about it, mainly because the x-games (when they did show it) only showed park skating and vert. now a street seen is seriously blowing up. tons of street contests are going on around cities all over the world. right now, when someone sees a skateboarder skatin on the street, or a rollerblader, or even a biker. they will all have the same reactions. theres people who are like, what! thats crazy, how did you do that. then there are people who say, you cant do that here! its illegal and you might get hurt and sue our company.
no matter what it is, skateboards, bikes, rollerblades, ski, snowboards, ski blades.
each sport has its own following of people that will never die.
i ski and rollerblade. and i am pretty good at both. i win competions and have made rollerblading a huge part of my life, and income. as well as skiing.
dont say shit about how rollerblading brings down skiing. Dstructure supports BOTH skiing and rollerblading. tell that to them.
