... and it hasnt been funny for a couple of years. ever since futurerama came out it just started sucking tonz uv brainz. the writers just try too hard. homer used to be the coolest guy ever, now hes fuck a fucking idiot, playing the eletric guitar and shit. what happened? the simpsons should have been cancled along time ago.

The reason this is happening is because when they were bought by fox, it destroyed the simpsons ability to make fun of the goverment, america, and the world considering foxs GIGANTIC right wing bias, so they have to stick to original ideas and not reflect off whats happening, because theyre not allowed to be politically incorrect.

Canadapridecc your comment was rather asinine considering FOX's entertainment portion is no way related to FOX News in any manner whatsoever. Don't blame FOX for the crappiness of The Simpsons because you think they are 'bias.' FOX continues to bring forth the most politically incorrect programming. Programs like Family Guy (its returning), all of their reality shows, Arrested Development, and just about every other show on FOX pushes the boundaries of political correctness. For you to say Simpsons suck because FOX is 'conservatively biased' is absolutely absurd.

As a matter of fact there is a Simpsons book coming out that takes subtle pot-shots at Republicans.

Simpsons has also mocked FOX News on the show.

The show has been on for 16 seasons. They are just running out of ideas.

i agree it def reached its peak in like late 90s but i must say the humor on the show has started to get deeper....like more complex jokes that are just amillion times funnier when you get them

 
just go watch 'Homer and Apu' 'The Springfield files' where Burns is the alien, and Three houses of Horrow One through eight, then you'll see some good ol classic Simpsons.

Last season was a fast improvement on the previous few. 'Kids are people too. Worthless incomoplete people.' The episode where they went to England was a good one too. They were pretty offensive last season and it worked. So far this season it seems as if they've gone away from it and aren't quite as funny. Still, I'll keep watching either till the day it dies or the day I die, which ever comes first.

as long as they keep having just bizarre out of the blue things occuring, it's funny. That's my kinda humour, I like how family guy does it and South Park does it too. I think Simpsons has better jokes than family guy. But South park combines good jokes with bizarre things, which makes it uber funny.

HOW CAN THEY RUN OUT OF IDEAS? do you guys even know what your talking about. every simpsons eposide is written by different people. they take ideas from around the world and incorperate them into the episodes. not 1 person is writing them but hundreths of thousands contribute.

simpsons are still solid. it is a funny show, and despite some repeated ideas, they are able to keep it going. They are starting to push the boundaries more, for example, Homer being stoned for like 3/4 of an episode. it isn't dead yet.

i thought sundays simpsons was hilarious th ebest i have seen in a couple years probably, the humor is not the same as it was, because as said above it has gotten deeper and slightly more intelligent.

family guy is funny yes but not better, it is different funny and i do laugh my ass off to it but it is not as good as the simpsons.

futurama is awesome.

southpark is great.

to order from best shows to worst (this is best not funniest) simpsons, south park, futurama, family guy.

i know i am gonna get a ton of shit for it but its true

the simpsons fucking sucks, and this sundays episode when lisa thought she was fat was just a sad attempt and humor. the simpsons have lost, and i doubt they will ever get it back. they try too hard to compete with southpark by using crude humor, only southpark fucking slays the simpsons because matt stone and trey parker are fucking gods while groaning is a fat faggot when sucks terribley at drawing hands.
