What skis do you toronto skiers want better access to for next season!

line for sure, the fcat is sporting life carries armada's, which are sick, and you would have a monopoly on Line in the GTA, there have also been numerous threads in this forum about where to buy Line in Toronto

sales rep in sporting life said that the armadas they had there weren't selling too well. i would say line though. set yourself apart from sporting life. i was seriously dissapointed when i could find the same shit in both places.

the sign is turning to internet forums in making business decisions?

maybe they should stick to racing and patio furniture

Maybe if Skiis and Biikes took a little more time (like the Sign) to follow today's skiing trends they wouldn't be such a joke among Ontario freeskiers.

yea thats true.

and even then this was the sporting life in lawrence park. so if they aren't selling well that should tell you something.

Dude. the store management will be heartbroken to hear that we are known for specializing in racing and patio furniture, why would you say something so cruel.

no matter wat the sign will never be known as a core freestlye company but rather a company that is trying to make money off of companyies

UNLESS u stopped selling patio stuff and racing stuff and got good staff that new wat they are talking about unlike people thats say "well if u get smaller skis u can spin faster"

man, why are you guys all hating on patio funriture, thats stuffs dope. no one wants a regular lawn chain anymore. line.

dam i know what in gonna be buying in the sumer, an eric pollard Pro patio Jib set it costs a bit more than the pro patio set but its worth it

as much as i respect your oppinion... im pretty sure the sign of the skier isn't out there to make money off of other companies. yes it is a race focused shop, but if you look at what the store does for the race community you see that the store makes very very little off of its racers. racers for the most part get the same deals in the store as staff.

and what is wrong with selling patio furniture in the summer... the shop doesnt make enough money off of ski gear in the winter to survive. it doesnt make enough money because it is mostly geared towrads racers and they get sweet deals so there is not much money made...

so following this train of logic one would come to the conclusion that the sign of the skier isnt trying to make money off other companies.. but is rather the oldest ski shop in toronto and is run by a family that cares deeply about the sport and because they see where the sport is also going they wanted to follow the trend of the sport.

the point isnt to makes the store known as a core freeskiing shop, the focus will always be racing, but i as an employee, and someone who cares about freeskiing though that perhaps the community would like a chance to express what they want. so if you dont want to express what you want you dont have to.. but there is no reason to bash the way the shop is run.. especially when you dont know whats going on, to say the sign is trying to make money off other companies is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard when compared to the other shops in toronto, ie. sporting life, or skiis and biikes.

finacially, line for sure. as everyone said line is hard to find. Then again, there is a huge reason for that. The skis suck. period. Nothing else to it. When a shop gets half the skis back they sell, it becomes more of a liability then an asset to them to keep selling the company, with all the paperwork, warranty issues ETC. So the first month of business will be booming, but give it another few and needless to say business will even itself out. The fact you can't get them anywhere (i don't know who would want them and why) screams to carry them though. So you have to think business, finance, and hearing out the public and you gotta combine them all to one decision.

Then again i don't work in a shop, so i don't know how much of all that i would take to heart. But im pretty sure most of it makes sense.
