The Season (tv show)

i watched the first episode just to see what it was. i normally hate these kind of things, but because its set in val ill probably keep watching it.
 
couldn't be less stoked that i went ahead and made it. i have a couple of friends that are in it (claim!) and they said it was basically the gayest shit imaginable. still they got loads of free gear and stand to make more money now being pretend celebrities back home.

tragically i'm in france so am unable to witness this car crash on iplayer, but reports filtering through suggest it is just as lame as first feared. don't expect to see anything remotely resembling anything 'rad'. do expect to see loads of aimless, circuitous (google it), made for tv fake drama about whether dick-head A likes space cadet airhead B.

val d'isere is teetering on the brink of being uninhabitable. i fear this might tip it over the edge, which would be a shame coz the place could be and should be heaven on earth.

i never ever thought i'd see anything that was rad. all i said was i thought it was rad to see snow etc. on tv. i like snow, ski towns, mountains it reminds me of what skiing is really about which isn't being in a massive fridge (MK) or having water being pissed up my leg on snowflex.
ps. the aforementioned space cadet is a massive douche.

and ^^ i won't say this definitively because i haven't watched it, but from what i've heard and what i've seen in the past, the ski season tv show is pretty fucking far from any kind of representation of 'what skiing is about'...

i'm sorry, i wish i could be more coherent. i can't seem to find the words to express clearly quite how much i hate this tv show which i am yet to watch.
 
Mhm.. Well I watched it.... If it was something like a UK-made version of Whistler then it would be bearable... but there's little reason why they're in a ski resort.. Just seems like BBC wanted to make a copy of Laguna Beach, but so to make it seem as it's not a copy they threw the characters in a ski resort....
And there were some cringy bits... I'll give it 1 more episode though, might have just been a bad pilot.
