The scariest moment of your life

oh that gives me one, in like 7th grade me and my friends threw snowballs at cars almost every weekend haha, so immature...but yeah, one time we were at my house and doing it and i live on a dirt road with nooooooo cops ever but for some reason one came down and none of us realized it untilwe had hit it with a block of ice each, 2 on the windshield 1 on the drivers side window, we booked so fast...he didnt even brake though i dont think...pig, got him good. and basically just always getting chased by teenagers we hit while they threatened us.

and last year we felt like being immature again (juniors in hs) so we went out on cabage night with eggs...one kid whos hous we hit started driving around looking for us and found us eventually...he started yelling at us while we were like behind a tree from his car and all at once we were just like...FAGGOT! and threw a bunch of eggs at his car/in his window and ran...we coulda beat the kids ass thugh im sure but whatever haha.

i was a punk ass kid haha.

in my opinion its scarier if youre falling off something or in a tricky situation and you forsee yourself dying than if youre in a super intense situation like a fire where you cant even think about whats going on.

i was leaving my driveway and then i didnt close the car door all the way. so as my dad was going like 30 around the corner and me being stupid i try to open it and close it as were making the turn and then i was about to fall out into the street but then my brother was next to me and grabbed me before i fell out. i almost shat in my pants

when i was first learnin my backies, i underroatated like fuck on one of them and landed on my head/neck/back and it scared the livin crap outa me cuz i felt all tingly and i thought i was paralyzed but it was just really bad pinched nerves and strained neck

i got so stinkin lucky

probaly when i was heading back from a day of skiing from my local mountain with my sister driving

its like a hour and a half drive and we are like halfway home when out of no where we are in a blizzard and really really really bad roads. we could see tracks where people went into the ditch. so we are doing allright but when we start going up a little bit of a hill my sister gives it a little gas and the back end goes left and we are going like 90 km/h sideways on a two lane road when i look to my right and all i can see is DODGE and grill guard. im just looking into the headlights and thiinking how much this was going to suck when we hit the ditch and the truck missed us by no more than 3 feet.

so scary.

one time whe ni was younger.....

my friend and i were messing around on a huge stack of haybales in a like 40 foto high barn, and we were jumping around, and it all collapsed

my friend somehow just rolled down it like stairs, but i didnt

i was falling straight down, but then my boots got caught in some rafters, and i was hanging there upside down

it wasnt all the way up, prolly only like 20 feet up, but i was hanging in the middle of the ceiling, so it kinda sucked

the fastest way to get down was to rebuild the hay up, so i was stuck up there for like 10 minutes

oh well, i made it

Hiking in the Andes Mountains in Quito, Ecuador, robbed at gunpoint/machete point by a masked man at 15,000 ft, and running down the mountain for almost 5 hours, discovering that the guy was following us and watching us through binoculars for 3 of those. No joke.

I have too many to choose from. I remember many years ago in grade 7 we were jumping down some hill that was covered in snow. I did a flip and I landed on my knee on the edge of a sewer grate. By the time I stopped rolling I couldn't stand up. I thought I had totally fucked my knee and shattered my knee cap. So my friend helps me get home and I didn't tell my parents cause I was embarrassed. Anyways the next few days I was limping around because I couldn't bend or do anything with my knee. But one day I was sitting down playing video games and I started playing with my kneecap and it randomly popped back in place. Turns out I just dislocated my kneecap.

cork7 off a 50 foot cliff...and feeling my foot hit the rock and diving into the water where i knew rocks were close to the cliff...

SLICED OFF HEEL!

lost control of my car doing 100 and rolled it in a ditch:

Was whitewater rafting with my cousin in class 4 rapids. Raft flipped on a big rock, I went over a number of smallish waterfalls, bounced off hundreds of rocks, and got trapped under a log underwater for a couple minutes. The fire department had to pull the log off me with a truck winch, and then pull my cousin and me out of the water. I somehow didn't break anything serious, but I was pretty darn mangled. According to the medics in the ambulance, taking a swim through class 4 rapids leaves you with a 50% chance of survival. But we both survived, so it's a good story now.

Can't remember anything else right now, but one time driving back from Sugarloaf, some guy stopped dead in the middle of the road in front of us, like tehy were gonna turn into the convenience store parking lot, but didn't turn ,with a car coming the other way. we weren't going to fast maybe 40 , but the road was icy, so brakes were not a option. My dad swerved off toward the ditch and car probably got like 2 feet air off a pile of ice on the shoulder, and landed in driveway of the convenience store. I ahd been dozing off and all the helmets, boots, etc. in the back of the car shot forward and landed on me, and it scared the shit out of me because I thought we were in a crash.

that's not the point he was trying to make. he was saying that all you do is suffocate, you don't need to add to death, because the definition of suffocate by itself is to die from a lack of air. he's saying that you don't say 'die from a lack of air to death'

how about catching an edge and sliding face first down tux next to the headwall? yeah...but i swung around and sprung back up, that was scary shit.

being 50-60 feet in the air with no control of what your doing then landing on your back is pretty scary. its fun when you have enough airtime to realise how much its going to hurt/fuck you up.

being in an airplane caught in an electrical storm is kinda mind boggling. I still cant get over how much the wings are capable of bending without being damaged.

actually choking on food while home alone is fucked.

i dunno. alot of thnigs happen way to fast for you to realize you should be scared.

Caught my downhill edge and almost took out a whole line of hikers. Forgot to mention that part. I'll even find the video if you want.

one time when we just got back from vancouver and my mom , my sister and I were drivning home and it's late maybe 1-2 in the morning and were on these back roads and there's a guy behind us and a big 18wheeler in front of us and this gy tries to pass both of us and we see this guy ccoming down from the hill and the guy was already in the other land and he swerved off to the other side so fast and hit a fence cause he saw the other guy.. but I thought someone was gonna crash in front of us

oh shit you win! every time i hike tucks i have that envisioned in my mind and it freaks me the fuck out. glad you're ok, did you or anyone else get hurt?

not many scary things have happedn to me in real life, I almost drowned once when i was small but i think i could have gotten out of that easy, and got stuck in a desert cuss our tour guide car broke down lol

BUT, has anyone every had times where they just woke up or were sleeping and like you know you wanna get up but your body wont move and you cant breathe. I had that earlier today and I get it a lot. LIke I really feel like the only thing that is working in my brain and my eyes, body, and breathing are all dead. It feels like your running out of air. its weird... maybe im possessed?

scariest: first jump off this 75 foot cliff this summer. or this one time me and my buddy were skiing the pow in the trees inbetween these 2 runs and we come to this 30ft cliff with trees/stups at the bottom. we take our skis off (stupidist fucking thing to do) and try to walk out. almost all the way out and i see my buddy slip out and drop off that smaller part of the cliff and that scetched me out. then i slip, drop off the cliff, ditch the skis, just miss a couple of trees and get out onto the run, still fucking trucking down the run. the run was pretty steep so i was bookin it, had my feet out in front of me and they were skipping around on the snow and trowing snow in my face so i could get a glimps of what was ahead every once and a while. then i spun around and i thought i was gonna go right into the trees. hit alittle pillow right before the trees and stopped. i just chilled for like 10 mins cause i was fuckin freaked.

Most fucked up: after my grandfather died we flew out to ottawa (where my grandparents live) for the funeral. before he was cremated (sp?) we went in to see his body. first time i have ever seen a lifeless body. its some wierd stuff.

That reminded me what was scariest for me. I was going to a basketball game at about 8 one night. The road was pretty rural and we came up on a few stopped cars, obviously looked like there'd been a crash. Drove further and there was a dead Japanese girl with blood spilling everywhere lying dead and fully mangled on the side of the road. We were about the 4th car through and could just see the ambulance. The car was literally scattered about 300 metres along the road, just pieces everywhere, with the biggest remaining part, bumper and tail lights near the girl. Seeing something like that makes me think about how I'm going o drive when I get my licence. It was actually the girls boyfriend who was driving but didn't see anything left of him.

That image is like fully etched in my mind, like a permanent photo. I was 12 at the time as well

let's see:

getting held up by gunpoint with my cousin would have to be up there

dealing with a friend going through a heroine overdose was pretty scarey, he's pretty fucked up, has a lot of issues obviously.

when my dad had a pulmonary embolism. it's a pretty serious thing, could have died.

umm, the worst i don't feel like saying, but it really made me think about my mortality, probably one of the saddest moments too, maybe not the most direct fear, but it got to me for a long time.

Haha it is pretty trippy watching airplane wings eh? Airplanes won't get zapped by lightning though because they aren't grounded

Being in 4th grade, seeing all of my teachers cry, finally they tell us that planes hit the WTC, and knowing my dad was flying to LA that day. 9/11

Luckily though he was on a flight that afternoon, but it didn't go out.

Saturday, April 7 2007 - Silverton Mountain - Stuck on chairlift that was struck by lightning 5 FUCKING TIMES. Each time, you could see a flash - which was followed by a sizzle up the cable, a huge boom and the lift stopping. We would sit there and swing for a few minutes, then it would start again, run for a minute and the pattern would be repeated. In reality we were much safer on the lift than if we had been standing exposed above treeline, but everyone was totally gripped. We have all sat on a lift idly wondering what would happen if we jumped - This was the only time I have ever strategized - i.e. Should we kick off our skis before we jump this 50 or 60 ft.

When we finally got off the lift, I heard our guide tell another guide "Of all the fucking crazy shit that has happened to me at Silverton, that was the scariest!" His partner countered "Weren't you on the lift when they shut it down in the 70 mph winds?" He replied "Yes, this was much worse. One more strike and I would have rappelled down."

the scariest thing in my life had to be when i ate shit on my bike when going 40mph and sliding on my face for like 20-30ft and then getting up and realizing half of the skin on my chin was missing and i had a hole in my lip it sucked ass

I was with a few friends and we were bringing ruckus to our neighabor hood. I was running away jumped a fence and landed on concrete with my head. Got knocked the fuck unconscience for bout two minutes, then tried to tough it out and walk home. Stayed home from school for three days,(slept the whole time) then started puking. My dad asked if somthing had happned that he should know about. Told him the story, went to the hospital, got multiple CAT scans and they told me I busted my fuckin skull and had interl bleeding and aobut 24 hours to life with out surgery. Basically shit myself I was so scared

i got sick of landing right on the very end of the table on a 30 foot kicker, so I took extra speed on my last run and overshot the landing by about 120 feet, my knees came up and hit me in my chin. I think i bounced up about 5 feet. then some other skier hit hte jump about 30 seconds after me and snapped his arm and the bone was comming out of his jacket, i was just glad it wasnt me. my knees just hurt really long after that but nothing happened

I think you'd be almost dead if it was 120 foot, that's huge. But I know the chin thing!! I knuckled a 5 once and my knee actually dented my chin. Now i have a semi bumb chin haha.

yeha.. being in a storm that intense basically hurls the plane wherever it desires. ever seen the movie "almost famous"? it was basically the same thing accept not in a private jet or with free drinks and food flying all over the place. and nobody admitted to being gay!

Turbulence is like a rollercoaster. We flew over some super fuckin intense storm coming back from Florida a couple years ago. So trippy looking down at it thinking the people on the ground are getting stormed and you're seeing sun

yeah, one time i had the opportunity to fly on a private plane and we went threw a thunderstorm. long story short, for some reason i decided to get up to go to the bathroom and we hit an airpocket and the entier plane just dipped down and I stayed where I was so my head went straight into the cieling and I landed on my cousin (on my side)

shit man.just the other day i frontflipped a 30 footer took it too big and landed nearly flat i overrotated . snapped my humorous badd

seriously, surfings pretty rough. waves are so powerful. once i got all turned around, got smashed in the head with my board, then smashed my head into the sand, tried to swim up, swam back into the sand, and got a mouthful of water.

when i shattered both my ankles at chad's gap.....

naw when i over shot a 20-30 step down went way huge hit the ground couldnt breathe, thought i broke my back. ended the season.. but the worst part was 30 min later in the aid's room i realized i had shit my pants.

last year I was skiing on my own and decided to try this chute/ clearcut line that I'd scoped from the chair for a good ten years. turns out it's just a smooth rock face for fifteen feet then another 10 foot drop and then about 300 metres of deadfall.

I slid out on the first drop then sorta flipped forward and dropped a good ten-fifteen feet onto my face. scared the shit out of me, especially because a kid from my school had died like a month earlier doing some similar shit.
