The Salomon Czar's vs. the Rossi S7's

I am down to these two for a powder ski. I like to rip trees and drop cliffs while i cook down the mountain. I'm inbounds more than im not and im a expert skier. i'm 6' 200lbs. I demo'd the czar at snowbird last year and they were sweet charging steeps and shredding pow through the trees but ive heard so much about the s7's so now im looking 2 buy and i dont no which ones i should get. Thoughts?
 
Ak jj without a doubt, skied the czar for a season and they were good, but not as good. Skied the s7 and the super s7 on demo days, at ur weight there is no way I would buy the regular s7, too soft, and the rocker is so aggresive that it deflects pretty hard. The super s7 on the other hand is much more stable, less playfull and handles chop better, but for my money the ak jj is the way to go, in fact that is what i've got coming to me. I spent the last two years on jjs, and wished they made a 195. I'm the same size as u and was stoked on how poppy, stable at speed, manuverable, and stable in chop the ak was. I've skied many of the skis out there at demo days, or just borrowing them from reps for the day, and I couldn't be more juiced on the ak jj
 
yo thanks a lot bro i had read about the jj but not that much (by ak jj u meant the armada jj right?)i'll definitely look more into that cuz they def. seem dope
 
The AK JJ is a new version of the JJ put out by Armada this year. It comes in a 195, is a bit stiffer than the regular JJ, and is a bit wider (2mm in the waist I believe)
 
I rode the s7 for a demo and wasn't real impressed....but....but I would much rather see rossi supported than solly....they need a severe kick in the balls this year due to their horrid customer service....or support on3p.....those guys all seem real cool and are on here all the time so I'm sure should a problem arise you could track em down fairly easily...haha....plus I hear nothin but good things about the quality....def give em a look at the very least.

The AK JJ is 5mm wider all around and yes, it has a slightly stiffer flex underfoot...

The MOMENT Bibby Pro is a serious contender, has slightly stiffer tips and tails than the JJ, and handles chop a little better IMHO. Which one you chose will depend on your skiing style and the terrain/conditions typical of your home mountain

The S7 is a pintail, ans thus is extremely easy to ski in soft stuff (which is a big reason it's so popular among intermediate/advanced skiers - a HUGE portion of the buying market) ....however....depending on your skiing style and aggressiveness it might not the ski you're looking for..

ON3P's build quality is very high, the company puts out some bomber skis.

you should consider the Caylor....or Caylor Lite of you're a lighter person or prefer lighter skis

OP: What are your specs (height, weight, etc) and where do you do most of your skiing?
 
i was skiing with my buddy on his czars last year and he hit a really steep and short tranny in a creek bed and his ski literally bent. The tip looked like my one life. any other ski would have been fine imo. after seeing this and hearing all the other bad stories about salomon quality I would not support them.
 
Yeah exactly....but the kids see all the pros winning comps and still ride sollys nuts....so they have the mentality of why even setup a real customer service cause these dumb kids still buy our stuff anyway....it sucks and they're capable of being a much better company....people can cry amersports all they want but I've never had a suunto customer service issue.....in fact they've been pretty stellar....so it's salomons policy and for that they should get the nut kick to wake up....they've been doing this for years now and all it's done is guaranteed I'll never buy their crap again.
 
There's an old marketing saying that goes, "you should always be willing to pay twice as much to keep an existing customer than you would spend to get a new one."
 
so it seems like the armada jj r like super dirty and the majority of u guys r feeling the jji split time mostly between jay peak and whiteface skiing trees and the trees r tight for those who ski the west, so the jj 185 or ak jj?
