"the run" synonyms???

Writing an essay for a high school class about the frustration and determination it takes to get a perfect park run on film.

I would love it if newschoolers could come up with some synonyms for "run"

sentence examples:

"looking down the slope he prepares himself for the run"

"Through his determination he completes the run perfectly"

been using the word way too much

go through all of your sentences that say "run" and see if you can just not say it at all, try to imply it or something. Using a bunch of different of synonyms could be just as bad as saying run a bunch of times.

Dumb idea that no one will understand except you. That said, change your second "run" to a completely different word and meaning. Try "completes the experience" rather than "completes the run." This will change your meaning, your depth, and improve the quality.
