Could anybody tell me how to post a poster?

i heard charles gangier is comin down as an invite..

all snow off the headwall to produce an 80ft channel gap with a 30ft diaster to the rollercoaster rail tranfer to the double kink through the ring of fire........

a little clarification would be good (wink wink J-Law)

who do the qualifiers compete against if they make it through (who got and confirmed the invites)?

the layout will be determined tomorrow, stay tuned for the announcement.

this comp will be a blast, everyone should come out and support something that we all wanted for a LOng Time -- major comp with major talent and major party. think about this, foster wilson bagnell ezmac all throwin down sick shit with martin jensen kkkyle fergdawg gettin trashed for the cameras, you cant miss this really.

New info, including skier and snowboarder invites are available on the skiwentworth.ca/rosebowl site.

Bus tickets are availble now/still at Aerobics First and Pro Skates. Tell everyone. You want skiing to be bigger or better? Spread the word on this and everyone able to witness the comp and party will know skiing is the best thing in the world.

$15 gets everyone a lift ticket and a bus ride from the city! Departs each shop at 3:00 pm, leaves Ski Wentworth at 12:30 after Two Hours Traffic blows our minds!

Set up!

Here's what we got. And it's amazing considering the snow levels around the Valley.

Not so much a slopestyle course, but 2 big features that should impress the onlookers and keep the athletes happy for the night.

We've got a 30 foot step down (newly shaped, 12 feet wide) next to the 30 foot battle ship box (from Poley, made by Red Bull, down for the occasion)

Looks tight, lets hope it stays together for the night and tomorrow...

Competition format:

Wild Card - 2 runs for each competitor. Hit each feature. Two added scores equal total score. Highest 4 scores (skier & snowboard) go on.

Rosebowl - Finals competitors names will be drawn out randomly prior to final on elimination board. Each pairing will hit each feature once. Each feature will be judged separately and scores will be combined. Highest scoring individual out of the pairing will move on... And so on until there are 2 skiers and 2 snowboarders left.

Yeah!

Oh yeah. Warm up times are anytime before 5 (start of the Wild Card event) and from 6:30-7:00. Rosebowl Main Event starts at 7:30 pm..

Can you dig it?

Not ideal, but definitely sick considering we had worked really hard to keep the pile up for this. We're going to do our best to have skidoos/anything running people around.

little bit all over the place (last minute set up made some last minute changes) but really fun format.

ezmac (dave macdonald) took care of the elimiation format with consistent switch rodeo 5 high mutes with a extra 180 on his final hit. Greg Allen found a way to spin into the final against dave with consistent 900's with some style.

notiable mention to steph curtis from Crabbe, the sickest skier in the crowd, ran out of tranny on his quarterfinal match up, with a swithc cork 9 high mute...this kid has skillz to win the billz.

props to foster wilson and bagnell who cleary are better drinkers than skier, following the jensen program for the past many yrs shows why.

andreas hart took 3rd with a shifty 5 and 5 tail that he rode to the semis against GA.

give me a few weeks, i got to get a firewire port put in my computer and all that good stuff and i well get something made up. and that was a good edit.

Nice work to Justin from Walk On Face Productions in Truro for putting that together on short notice and with little time. Lets see what more film makes it way out from Rosebowl...

Big thanks to EVERYONE who helped put that on. It's always a gamble to try to throw something like that together around here, and it couldn't happen without a lot of people coming out of the woodwork to get a task done or to even fill an important role throughout the event.

Thanks to Jensen and Ferguson for judging on the ski side and Jonathan Sparkes and Jamie on the snowboard side of things. You guys did a great job.

Big thanks to Thor & Conor for coordinating the build of one of the better jumps we've seen in a while.

Big ups to Mother Nature for holding off before and during. The soft snow looked like a delight to land on compared to the blue ice from the entire season.

Of course, this couldn't happen with out Red Bull who supports smaller sports in smaller areas like ours. They really bring it up a peg or two... Thanks Katie & Melissa for your support.

Ski Wentworth keeps letting us put stuff like this together and it seems to get better and better...

Two Hours Traffic killed it in Ducky's. Totally unbelievable. You should see the complaints coming in re the noise levels. Awesome.

DJ Quel-que-chose (Nigel) provided the sound and brought the energy outside to a level a case of Red Bull couldn't have created. But then again, Red Bull brought him up, so...

In case you didn't notice, Mount Allison came up with 48 people including a lot of the girls upstairs in Ducky's. Props.

Jill Sullivan's afterparty with the band and sound guys was hilarious for so many reasons.

The Valley Inn housed more cool people than they will ever allow again. Too bad for them.

Thanks to the competitors from all over for coming out and having a lot of patience throughout the day. It means a lot to see you go from standing around to throwing down and hiking hard. Keep it up.

Congratulations to the winners!

Skiers: 1rst Dave MacDonald 2nd Greg Allen 3rd Andreas Hart

Snowboarders: 1rst Nick Khatter 2nd Jonathan Gauvin 3rd Sam Rodgers

Right on!
