The right pow ski for me?

Hey, Im looking for a fat rockered ski, that i could also take out on days without powder, just for cruising and some park.
I have a little list but im not shure what lengt / with i want.Im 6,2 and about 170/180 pounds. The list:Hellbents 189 or would a 179 also work?Bibby's 186 i thing 190's would be too stiff but the length is nice.Night trains.. not much info.EP pro's little short & soft.JJ's short?? or would a 185 be oke?bentchetlers little short or not?
I really need some help finding the right ski :)

In your position, I personally would get some Searchbar 181's with Advanced search bindings and Google outerwear....
Haha for really I would go for the salomon czars, they are pow destroyers, rockered, and not bad on groomers. This is all from what I hear, but mine are in the mail right now, supposed to come tommarow

haha, look in gear talk , there is a thread almost exaclty like this probably about two away from yours

did you not see the list he just gave of skis he has already looked at?^

some 189 obseths, sound like they'd do the trick. check em out.

ON3P caylors is what I would go with, I got to test them out this last year and they are by far the best powder ski around, so much fun to ski. I know iggyskier is doing a preorder for them and the prices are pretty much a steel, $499 for those skis.

Ahh ofcourse... cus the searchbar gets me personal advice, and answers my specific questions. If you do not like to advise people and help them out then plz dont post instead of your quazi funny comment.
About the other recomendations:The Onep's look real intresting esp in a 190, are they soft enoug for butters? I do live on the other side of the atlantic so shipping would be expensive.Would obsethes not be too stiff to jib with?
Witch lengt would be good for me? Do i want someting around 190 or would a 185 also fit. it seems quite short.

im in exact the same position as you are. also on the other side of the atlantic, same height and i also want to do butters. im leaning towards the EPs cuz they are rad at buttering and are pretty rockered and are dope in pow, but maybe a bit too soft. the hell bents would be too heavy for my taste. bent chetlers too short. jjs too narrow rare and expensive and not sure how to get skis from ON3P to where i live, dispite even demoing them. interested on the comments to come.

peace

ON3P will be shipping skis to europe. I am still working out the costs and best method of doing it, but we will definitely be going it.

that sounds good. then ill probably go for them. hope it will work. allways looking to support smaller business with high end products.

please pm me if you found a way to ship them to europe. good luck

peace

definitely look at those on3p's,havent been a ble to take a look at a pair so i dont know much about them, but they sound really sick. as for the obseths, they arent a super stiff ski, definitely soft enough to play around on. and a 185 is for sure doable, but a longer ski (up around 190cm) would give you a little more support with landing backseat and that sorta thing.

So a few weeks have gone by, havnt decided yet what to get. Some skis have gone of the list some have been added.
My preference is still something soft (have to be able to butter) but not Ep / HB soft.around the 186/ 190 lenght.
I still have some questions:Caylors look great, but are they soft enough to butter and does annyone know how they handle on groomers? Will i be able to get down, without just slipping and sliding..Will a smaller waste handle better on groomers? Im thinking of Billy goats (are they okay for switch?)Bibby's of maybe some surface one lifes? These seem pretty good allround skis.
then there is the moment nighttrain: Looks sexy, nice geo but i cant find mutch info on them. Are they soft? how do they handle? are they pure powder skis?
hope some of u can help me out. Maybe point out some skis i havnt considered.

surface one life is a freaking great ski. its good for everything. i ride the ll2s which are the one life but 08/09. i would look that direction. surface is quality. The on3ps look sick but i have no experience. the night train is advertised as a one ski quiver so i woul d assume its good on everything but i have no experience so i cant really tell u.

Im really leaning towards the surface new life or moment night trains myself, for a PNW pow jib stick. I am around 20lbs lighter than you though. My understanding is that the new life will be a bit lighter than hellbents.

The new life is 151-121-151 I guess like a lighter softer version of the chopstick.

Yeah the new life sound pretty sick too. But im afraid it wont be as allround as id like. Bit too much on groomers and in the park. But perfect for powder.

I would have thought the new life would dominate in the park, being symmetrical and not quite as rockered as a hellbent and a bit stiffer. Though if they were my only ski I'd think again. It would be fine though if you already had a park ski.

I think the bibbys seem the most versatile(186). I have never heard of anyone skiing JJ's switch in the park which makes me think they arent quite as good switch.

they caylors are stiff enough (a bit stiffer than the hellbent and incredibly more poppy) that they kill it everywhere and will lay trenches on the groomers without feeling too washy/slippy and still soft enough that you'll be able to butter and ride a few laps through the park throughout the day.

they were my everyday ski last year and they absoluetly killed it over my old EPs and my buddies bents i rode everyonce and a while and the LL2s that i got to try last year******

im not trying to sound biased at all, really, the reason i say this is because ive had a chance to ride a good number of rockered skis out there (with the exception of the benchetlers, night trains, '10 rockered pow skis, etc) and without a doubt these were my favorite out there simply because when i wanted them to be playful they were, and when i wanted them to kill the day old pow chop babies they would without hesitation or any feelings of sketchy "oh shit my knees are going to blow out." by far the most stable rockered pow skis ive ever ridden.

******please keep in mind the views and opinions stated above are those of the individual poster himself and not of ON3P LLC.*******

Damn u got me thinking again. I was almost set on something less fat around 112/115 (bibby's or one lifes). But the way you discripe that ski sounds good!

are you going order online and have them shipped in ?or do you know of a shop in the netherlands or belgium that sells moment skis ?or let's say the bentchetlers? or LINE skis?
i'm interested since i'm also from belgium and i'm looking for a rockered pow ski too...

motherships are rowdy. they're not really rockered (5mm rocker in the tip only) but they absolutely shred. they are pretty stiff, so they're not the most playful skis you can buy. however, point 'em straight and you'll be able to blast straight through anything in your path up to and probably including small buildings. they're awesome skis for gnar killing. in addition to all of this, they are pretty manageable in tight spots. all in all, they're a killer all around crusher ski.

Motherships are not really what im looking for but thanks for the reply!
to I am god: I think i will order moments/on3p's or surface online cus i dont know anny european dealers yet. I heard moment is going to have european dealers but i do not know the details about that.
line hase some stores in NL & BE selling them. And i think you coould get your hands on some bentchetlers via some EU online stores what the 09/10 season starts.
