The Right Park Ski For Me?

First NS post, I'll try not to mess it up.

I've been aggressively skiing Whistler for a good couple years now, been on my 179 Seths since last season and I love 'em to bits but I'm looking to expand past the big mountain in to the park, seeing as I'm probably going to be spending a good chunk of the season on the smaller local mountains of Vancouver.

My question to you all is, for a reasonable amount of cash, what should I pick up to further myself in the park? I can ride switch very comfortably and do basic jumps etc, rails are still so/so but I'm definitely going to work on improving that.

I've tried last years P.E.'s and felt they were too heavy and from what I've seen and tried from Line I have never liked very much. I know I can probably pick up a pair of STL's or TNK's from my local shop, but really I'm flying blind here.

I'm about 5'10 and 160 lb, what should I look for in size and binding placement?

Line stuff has always felt weak for me, but I cant argue with the price especially with a ski that will probably get battered.
 
yay. some new people use there brains and put everything in the thread there supposed too. stl's would be sick. if you want cheap, maybe some fujatives or invaders. or maybe t-halls
 
If you are liking k2 and want to stick with it I would go for the Fujitive. They are lighter than the PE and softer(if thats what your looking for). If you want something different check out any of the solomon park twins(SPK, dumont Thruster), Volkl wall or Armada Ar6. all of those have gotten good reviews and are good all around park skis
 
Yeah I've heard good things about Armada, and great things from some of my park rat buddies who ride on 4frnt skis. But again, keep in mind i'm looking for something relatively cheap - and I have actually tried the Fujative but felt it was just not comfortable enough.

But damn, for like $300 a pair of invaders seem tempting
 
also been considering getting a pair of this year's TNK's.

As for mounting them I'm assuming true center is the way to go? :P

Oh and a decent cheap park binding? I'm not exactly sure where to look, though I've heard Rossi makes some good ones.

I have no need for a pow ski, and yeah the invaders are damn cheap so it might be an idea, as for 4frnt skis, I've heard the TNK is a more park oriented ski and cheaper too.
