The reason why dew tour is a bunch of d bags.

the dew tour made a 3 year contract with mount snow to keep the dew tour there. This year as you all know that they moved it to killington and broke the contract with mount snow because they didnt have a 22 fot half pipe. The dew tour is paying killington to make a 22 fot half pipe but not mount snow. mount snow is a better park mountian and is way more chill and relaxed than killington which is filled with chincks. (no offence intended) Most of them cant ski or snowboard and are going to pack the hill on top of all the gapers and park rats.

mount snow wasnt willing to build the pipe. im glad it moved, that weekend sucked and now i wont have to deal with it. and good for killington getting the biggest contest in the east this year. and there wont be a 22 foot pipe at mt snow that noone uses for the entire year.

There is no way in hell Mt Snow is more chill then Killington. Mt snow is the first thing all the beaters from the city hit when coming north. Also its one of the worst hills in all of Vermont lacking challenge and snow quality. Good for Killington securing such a big event they need something to bring in some more money.

why are you complaining that they moved a major event that is invite only away from your local mountain? the weekend of the event may be cool for partying and watching people ski/ride, but is probably to packed to get some good skiing in yourself? all the dew tour brings is tourists and spectators. sure maybe a little money too. but now the park crew will be able to spend more time, energy and resources building and maintaining features more friendly to the ski bum instead of professional athletes. if anything i would say that it is a blessing in disguise. and anyways the dew tour is more suited to a mountain such as killington that is built upon tourist money.

I want the dew tour at snow, but killington is still cool. By the way nick, you are going to get a lot of hate on this thread.

I bet the slope course fiasco didn't help either. I don't mind, for me killy is only like another half hour to an hour away, not that go to Dew Tour cause it's super busy, stuff gets stolen, and I hate lines (also, why I don't go to Pay Your Age day).

mount snow is gaper central.

the most noobz in almost any park on the east at any given time is at mount snow.

killingtons got that ski town vibe and is a great overall mountain.

although its about an hour farther for me, it should be awesome!

yea in nitro theres more gaypers. go into the bigger parks and its much more mellow. never been to killy and prolly never gona get a chance to go now. i always liked mount snow and it was a good event for them and set them up to have one of the biggest parks in the east.

the only reason i'd ever go to killington for dew tour is to see my friends who are competing. I couldn't ever afford to pay for a lift ticket and I've already dealt with enough gapers at mt snow the past two years.

if you remember dew tour you clearly didnt spend enough time partying with the Chilean lifties...

jokes jokes, anyway, i worked at mount snow and dew tour was fun but hellish for staff (excellent compared to fucking pay your age day though, when i die and go to hell it will be pay your age day for all eternity). Plus the gapers at ms dont know how to ride a 22 foot pipe so the thing was closed all the time, and pretty much a death trap to most people on the mountain.

so whatever, i dont really care that they moved it to killington, more places for me to ski and park my car.

It doesnt matter to me either way where it is but Mt Snow did a terrible job at hosting the event last year. First off, if no one can park at Carinthia and they expect to shuttle everyone back in forth in Toyota Rav 4's how do they expect to anyone to watch any of the events that take place after 4:00. The first year they had the best event was the half pipe under the lights. this year the place was empty when that went down.

They had zero fucking security. My friends skis got swiped but some dooshbag fellow NS'er (they were returned with the help of one his friends).

And to top it off a liftie tried to shake down one of my friends for $$$ and followed him into the parking lot.

if you read the press release made by mount snow where Greg (marketing and events director) says they didn't want to build the pipe and they are concentrating more of their time and energy on improving all things except carinthia (which did in fact get a lot of work on their rails this summer by adding longer rails with more variety and variable kink styles). It's probably better that it went to killington because the athletes will be happier and the crowds will have more than 2 bars to get wild in after.
The pipe at snow is 18ft, will remain 18ft and for good reason. At this point it's being used frequently on the weekends and sparingly on the weekdays unless used by SMS or Mount Snow Academy for training. Inferno will have more freedom to change when they want for the entire season and we still have the Free Ski Open in March which is pretty dope on it's own to be opposite the US open just up the road at Stratton. Just wait and see, it's all gravy baby.
