The reason i like Barack Obama

i definitely like how he seems much more genuine than most other politicians, like not just repeating his same memorized arguments for every topic

the man is undeniably confident and collected, he stays cool as a cucumber no matter what. a great trait for anyone, but especially a president. I really admire people who have such self-control.

Does anyone know where to find the video of him shaking at the podium? I have no idea where I saw it. I felt bad for the guy.

HE SEEMS more genuine...but in reality he's as corrupt as everyone else. He's a two faced person and everyone will figure it out with time. People havent known this guy for very long. He was only in the senate 143 days before he decided to run for president.

I love how you say it's like he's not just repeating the same memorized arguments...

The guy is terrible without his little teleprompter.

^^ did you know john McCain cant read from a teleprompter?

did you also know that john McCain graduated 5th from the bottom of his class?

did you also know that obama graduated magna cume laude from harvard law school.

did you also know that me, a 17 year old kid, has had more international travel experence that palin did untill last year... when she got her first international pasport.

who do you want to be the most powerfull person in the world?

Did you know that Harvard is downright easy compared to a Service Academy? We send 200 people a year to schools like that after they graduate and almost all of them get in for free. McCain was low in his class because you are ranked militarily, academically, and physically and he was always in trouble for disagreeing with people in charge.

didnt obama go to columbia? but he is a persuasive speeker i will give you that but most of what he says is just designed to be specifically what you want to hear. his first commercials are about gas prices the pres has no control over that. " but if your sick of gas prices u should vote for him. the worst part is if he gets elected hell prob get credit for that shit even though oil dropped over 50% over the pas tthree months. some how the liberal media will give him credit for it. lets not forget about how much money he got from freddie mac and fannie mae. the only politician to recieve more money from them was Dodd and he has been in washingtonm a hell of alot longer then your precious obama. ah yess and and lets not forget the economy and how its bushes fault. let us not for get that it was under clinton when all these lending loopholes were create to have subprime mortgages in the first place. liberals created this night mare of an economy and are doing a great job blaming the GOP. now he wants to start taxing these giant corps hurting ameerica. gee lets think about the the company will eiother lay people off to cover the additional tax burden or it will be passed tdown to the consummer. eitheer wa sucks!

now you have al queda supposedly supporting mccain cause he will continue the war dont you think if al queda wanted to get some one they elected they would have to publicly support the opposition. hmmmm a littl ereverse psycology maybee stupid idiots that actually think al qeuda woudl rather have mccain! they would rather get free reign and maybe even funding from a bleeding heart liberal! any way jus tmy 2 cents

oh yeah and his voting record is atrocious. he (dont hold me to the exact numbers) only actually voted in less then 20 percent of the votes take by the senate floor. he was always abstaining in case it was a little controversial.

i am not trying to take sides here, so this is coming from an unbiased view (as much as can be i guess).

but did you ever think that maybe, education isnt the only thing that makes a good president?

did you think of things like vitality, past voting records, ability to see what effect actions now will have on the future, experience, willingness to adapt to new situations, public speaking and the ability to rally up the people? there are a ton of things that go into making a good president, so there is no reason to base your opinion just on one or two aspects of what goes into making a good president.

Threadstarter: it's less of a big deal if you post a link. What's annoying is posting a whole bunch of links, or just copying and pasting the article. That starts looking more like spam. Anyway I like Obama because he says stuff like this:

see, i would respond to all of this. but that statement alone proves how much of a fucking moron you are.

hahahahaha. MEGA progressive. it only seems MEGA PROGRESSIVE. because people like bush cut the shit out of them. it has "socialist" elements, but its not socialism. "in case you dont know anything"

and mccain's arguments arent? Don't tell me McCain doesn't have a well rehearsed touching story for the crowd such as the whole joe the plumber stories every time he has to answer a question!

i love how even though Obama was in the senate for 143 days before he decided to run, he is STILL gonna do a much better job than McCain would in office.

please, none of this endless pointless "what if" "how do you know" crap. you dont know with either candidate you cant magically know that. if you could... well, the dude whose run this country for the last 8 years probably wouldnt have.

if you read about his "tax cuts" they are not actually tax cuts. he is keeping the same tax income but just making the richer people pay for more. redistribution of wealth, plus universal health care. pretty dam socialist genius

huh? you mean hes cutting it for everyone under 250k. that would be cutting taxes. just not for ONE group of people.

thats because theirs alot of people in this country who dont have a job but have sex and give birth to children instead of working your way into a secure career before they have their kids and then they scream to the US government "My kids are poor! We Need Communism!!"" Fuck all you want but it is not my parents job to raise lazy peoples children

Interesting article, our government needs to actually discuss shit like this instead of taking hardline stances.

please, not this again. there are a small number of people who take advantage of the welfare system, versus a massive number who need it, and are trapped in their lower class.

regardless, his tax plan does not only benefit them. its not welfare, its benefiting the average american who with the high food and gas prices, is struggling to pay their mortgage, and get their kids through college, etc.
