The radio has ruined almost everygood song

Ok so i wouldnt listen to the radio but my neew car doesnt have a cd player in it so that all i have. BUT all the radio stations round here have been playin the same damn songs over and over again day after day... Like young jeezy- i luv it and go gettas, all the hinder songs, all the akon songs. im so sick of them now and i used to love them... oh yea and the JT songs must be played like 30 times a day... ugg its annoying
 
I agree. When I heard one song I like on the Radion, they overplay it. I hear them play it atleast 6 times in one hour. They overplay so many good songs, and make me want to shoot the artist who sung the song. haha.

listen to the current 89.3 lots of good stuff and lots of bad depending on the dj but i don't care because theres no commercials and commercials piss me off. end rant
 
are you kidding me??!?!?! fall out boy only improves with radio, and beyonce is so money. i would die without the constant repeat of videos on mtv, or if i didnt hear JT 15 times a day...oh wait..nvm im not gay
 
I can't think of a single good song the radio has ruined. "Stairway to Heaven" is definitely overplayed, but that's about as close as it gets. However, I can think of a lot of awful songs that have gotten worse with constant repetition (the ones you named, for example).
 
I liked the whole American Idiot cd when it first came out. Then every song on the cd got played over and over and over and over. If I hear boulevard of broken dreams one more time I'll poop.
 
utah has the worst radio. i'm in love with a stripper there was dancer how gay is that. they had like 4 songs played over and over.

Yeah, I just listen to iTunes now... it has better music and music I want to hear... we used to have an alternative rock station here, but they went out of business and now it's just the regular crap... including the mainstream rock station that plays that new fall out boy song. It's like the backstreet boys! O_O
 
i mean its good for the gym class heroes but the song cupids chokehold is getting played out because of constant time on the radio/mtv
 
Unfortunately, most of the songs were ruined during their inception. What the radio HAS ruined is my fucking sanity.
 
Most stations just play what brings in the money/listenership. And since so many people are mindless, they attatch themselves to just the worst songs just because thats what they hear and that's whats cool. So for a time, it gets played and played and played (playlists in this instance are gay) because it can draw the most listenership, most money, whatever. It's just a formula. There isn't supposed to be risks or varyiance, because it might not work. It's just commercialism, and that trailer pointed that out well. Playing the same shit (most of it is just shit) repeatitively is key (clear channel and infinity/cbs own most of the shit, so they play most of the same shit).

So stop listening to the radio! Radio is programmed by some 65-year-old executive in New York who thinks he knows what you want to hear.

"Kids will like what they hear on the radio" is the motto used. They find an artist that they can sell, create 100 other bands that they think re-capture this sound, and then play them to death because they only want you to hear the music they are selling.
 
yeah drive 105 is decent but there starting to overplay there songs also. Im gonna change this to the raido is gay and plays the gayest songs over and over and over and over again till the point you want to kill someone.

Mainly Kdwb and B96.
 
That's one of the reasons why I listen to the classic rock station. (102.1) It's great music on a playlist that seldom repeats.

However, I did learn to hate the radio a bit this past summer. Where I worked, they always kept on this one station that played the same shitty songs at the same times every single day. Every morning and afternoon they played "Hips Don't Lie" at the same times, you could almost set your watch to it. Now I can't stand shakira.
 
MINNESOTA KIDS - LISTEN TO THE CURRENT 89.3! its all underground, alternative, and they play the newest music possible
 
I'm not flaunting my taste in music, I am merely pointing out that mainstream music is not good anymore. If you like mindless rap, pop, and punk (if anybody can still pass as a punk band) then more power to you. If knowing a band is getting more recognition than they deserve somehow makes me badass then your statement is correct.

dude you live in minnesota, that is one of the biggest underground hip-hop scenes in america what is wrong with you

there is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better music in minnesota than young jeezy which isn't saying much
