Im sure they have made over 100 if there is such a 'demand' then why would they produce such a small supply? They could make money off this if they made them like 650$ becasue more people are willing to drop that than 800-900 on skis.

Theres no reason for them to produce so few at such a high cost other than simple marketing tactics. I'd never buy em but it'd be fun to play with them on a waist deep day

also they need to judge how much of a demand there will be for a SUPER fat ski producing only 100 pairs not only lets them see how popular they are it also makes people want them more since there are so little thus making is to if they do have huge sucsess this season they could just blow the market apart, but who knows only reason i would get a pair would be for a AK trip or something.

marketing 101: Make sure the hype is high enough to completely sell out of a product at the absolute price cieling. This means that if they sell out @ 900 they don't have to worry about producing more because the profit curve couldn't get any steeper even if they made 1000. Armada practices this to some degree, but you can still find left over pairs in the summer, not with the new line. Leventhal aint no dummy dummy
