The plastic coating on top of boxes

lexan, which is what your nalgene bottle is made of too, as well as the protective glass in city buses besides the exits.

its not astroglide its lexan and it varies between 50 to 100 bucks for a 4 x 8 or 4 x 12 sheet depending on thickness

no. thats basically wood, it would shred.

keystone uses ultra-high molecular weight polyethlene. its about 300 dollars a sheet. you can also go to home depot and buy a plastice picnic table and use the benches and top and cut them into shape with a jigsaw. (thank you Freeskier)

i also know that plastic deck material and recycled plastic lumber work well.

so i tried to be gettho and use like the crappy floors in some peoples laundry rooms (it cost 5.00 for 8'x4' piece)and when i tried it my skis went right in and made a huge gash... bright idea (dont do that)

I'm pretty sure they use teflon for most of the ones you see in parks but its real expensive. Just search it online and you can get prices and sizes

so many replies on this thread from people who dont konw what the hell they are talking about. First off, whoever said its acrylic is a dumbass, acrylic shatters sooooo easily and is a waste of money. HDPE or UHMW are the materials used on boxes, in the industrial area near my house they sell it for 130$ for a 10ft by 4 ft sheet, which is enough to make 2 good sized boxes. Dont cheap out buying a topsheet, it will just break and you will lose all that money.
