So I've been seeing this picture circulate through facebook, taken at the Boston Marathon Bombing. I'm sure most of you have seen it.

The caption is

"Does

anyone else notice this guy walking around?? I drew the crappy red

circle around him because I kept seeing him in video stills as well. It

could be nothing, but I'm just wondering what he's doing up there!

Personally I think it's bs that this picture has so many shares. It's one, creating even more of a sense of fear because this person is unknown and we will never know who he/she is. two, that could be anyone, just because there's a random guy on a roof in a city of thousands of people doesn't mean anything. The bomb looks about three blocks from the explosions.

Just seems stupid to make an assumption based off of a picture.

yeah actually. no terrorist with half a brain would openly walk around on a roof while watching their own attack.If I was that guy I would be nervous of 5-0 busting down my door because of that stupid screenshot.

I'm so glad the internet is full of detectives because i'm sure nobody that is working on the case for the FBI, Mass Gov, or BPD saw that!
 
having lived in that area for 5 years i can tell you thats not something out of the ordinary. people with roof deck access party out there all the time on a nice day, let alone the biggest citywide party there is. sure, it could have some correlation, but ive been on many a roof having a beer or two in the back bay, its not uncommon at all.
 
It's the Boston Marathon, there are people watching it from the roofs. People always have and they always will. They were just people trying to watch the race on a beautiful day
 
I do know that there were snipers along the route of the Marathon. Standard procedure taken by the local law enforcement and other branches to ensure safety as such a large event...A sniper would be on the building. sure it's an odd photo, but think about it...If it was a sniper, he wouldn't be sitting, with an eye on his scope at the end of a race..or at least in a 4 hour split of finishers. Just my 2 cents
 
OK can anyone answer me why this is an odd photo? It's a guy on the roof of a building moving around during a marathon. What's so fucking weird about that? Is it because his position is weird? As in it's a fucking picture and anyone can look weird if frozen in the right spot which happens all the time?

it's because you're paranoid, stupid fucking children that are so bored with your lives that you have to create scenarios in which you serve more of a purpose other than dead weight. Got it.
 
who are you trying to impress here? if i were.. you, i would try to score as much pink-name points as possible. might come in handy.

I betcha it was a police marksman.

Security is pretty tight at most big races and stuff like this.

In SF for bay to breakers they do shit like welding manholes and snipers on rooftops throughout the race route, as well as for most parades and stuff too.
