The Physics Of Skiing

I'm doing a school project on the physics of skiing. I thought you guys would be able to help me because most of you ski, I think. If you've done a project similar to this I'll PM my email, give you Karma, and a virtual hand job. K Thnakx heres tits ---> ( . )( . )

Or if you know anything that would be interesting to put in my presentation, throw it at my face.

im doing a physics masters degree so could be some help. are you looking to going into physics of how skis acctually work. physics of trick and rails or just a bit of everything? also what kind of level of physics are you looking for?

Take a look at "The Physics of Skiing at the Triple Point" This book will give you all the information you need. It has been I while since I read it but I am pretty sure you need to understand college level physics to comprehend some concepts in the book.

We're doing the basic stuff, like Torque, Velocity, Gravity, Acceleration. I was thinking of doing spins, flips, turning, and maybe just jumping a straight air.

Wonder what the physics of a dub 12 are... I'll save that for later.

do it on the forward accelleration you get on a ski slope because of the horizontal component of the normal force resulting from gravity.
