so you all remember when salomon signed Thovex.

the week before salomon went to Phil poirrier and just told him that he had been dropped. so phil painted his skis black and added oakley stickers on em because in the ski industry the month of march is the begining / end of the buisness year.

so after phil came in 3rd at the x-games salomon cam back to him asked him to come back. philou showed them the finger. I OVERHEARD THAT SOMETHING BIG IS ON THE WAY. YOU WILL SEE IN MARCH.....

i don't get the 'and salomon already has a good team' part of your post. what does that have to do with them wanting Philou back and him turning them down?

Skiers today at Phil's level need to have the same integrity as he does at this delicate point in our sports development. Until now, I think that Salomon used to have an almighty mentality. I think that now they realize that it is indeed necessary to give their team respect as well as having loyatly towards them.

 
i think salomon is getting too corporate. i guess its bound to happen.they make good skis and all but i like a company like LINE much more. but i duno who i'd rather buy from..

i just meant that I'd like to see him go somewhere else, Salomon has so many good skiers already i hope he goes somewhere else and gets a contract he deserves.

salomon are bastards, they picked up cusson after a bad year but they dropped poirier, it doesn't make any sense. So who from dynastars going to get their next pro model?

he knows tons of tricks, has loads of style and goes huge.

it was only slightly contradictive there fakiedropdude...i would also give them the finger...philou is a kickass skier who doesn't deserve to be dropped because salomon picked up candide. philou has mass style....and so does candide, why couldn't they have both guys on the team?

but anyways, thast a pretty funny he painted his skis black, i wouildve done the same thing. i hope he goes to a company thast 'keeping it more real' if you know what i mean, id like to se him go to Line, or head or dynastar

I think maybe because with all the big name skiers they have the payroll is getting a little expensive, they probably thought his good comp results were done so they dropped him...then they saw he was on the podium again and decided to try to sign him again.

werd...I think salomon is really corporate, they're like the big company in the industry right now, its like other sports, when they want certain athletes and get them by money...kinda sucks....Like candide, dynastar gave him his own ski and he just left....salomon has so many good riders right now, vinnnie, jf, candide, sarah burke, cr johnson...damn

His real name is Phillipe. I think they started calling him Philou to distinguish him from the 3 phils that dynastar sponsored.

philou doesent suck have u gone mad he kicks ass. He was the first person to combine a smooth defind style with trick dificulty when i saw him in the pipe it was so cool looking he barly moved in the air.

 
yeah philou is sooooooo good his rail slide are sooo sweet.....his handrails that he does are amzing...

He is one of my favorite jibbers, so much style. See the ski movies doubters. Volant is another possibility, they have McKonkey but no jibber with name recognition.

You at least have to give him respect for that. I know it's not a difficult trick, but it must have taken mad balls to atempt it for the first tiem.
