What do you all think of this movie coming out, and are you going to see it? Tell me why. I'm just interested in knowing.....Personally, I'm very excited about it, give Mel Gibson mad props for putting his career on the line, representing his (my) beliefs on national TV. And yes, I am going to see it opening day....

Apparently throwing snowballs at moving vehicles is a felony and can land you in prison for a year. Who knew?

i'll see it just because its controversial. its going to be a glorification of chirst, not a historical rendition and thats going to be annoying. besides i lost a lot of respect for mel gibson when i found out that he is a big time holocaust denier.

i'm obviously going to have see this before i can really argue this but, i don't think the movie can be that objective when its backed by someone that fanatically religious. and historically accurate how? by the bible? because don't even start me on that ambiguous peiece of shit.

why would you hate to be Jewish, people who hate this movie shouldnt hate Mel Gibson or hate the movie..hate the gospels because it is faithful to what the gospels say

^sorry that didn't address the Jewish issue.. I don't think the movie blames Jews for Jesus' death, whenever you see Gibson he says its all of humanity's fault that Jesus had to die etc., and he doesn't blame Jews. If you were to believe the Gospels, or other non-Biblical sources such as the Talmud or Roman records, Jesus' death was due to the Jewish Sanhedrian's dislike of him. If the movie was anti-semitic, why would its hero be a Jew?

the guy that plays christ is jewish, so its not really all that anti semetic. I here its really brutal and i wanna watch it as soon as it comes out to theaters.

Who cares if it glorifies him, after all thats what christianity is ALL about.

it will be a moving film for sure. will it be good is up for grabs, but i am banking on it being an incredible film. i cannot wait to see it and may even skip school in order to do so.

Well, lets look at this from the point of veiw of christianity. If the jews didnt kill jesus or he wasnt crucified what would christianity be? he died for all the world sins I believe. So according to christianity I think they owe the jews alot since they can goto heaven instead of hell because jesus died for them. (forgive me if i fucked something up here im not religious)

i havent seen it, and dont plan on it (being a jew and all), but i heard its boarderline antisimetic. anyways, whats with everyone in town owning a bullwhip and beating the shit out of him?

 
mel gibson is said to be making 700 million dollars in his pocket from this movie, he fincance the movie himself.
