The Origins of "Jea"

It seems this past season the word yea was replaced with JEA. and everyone has started using it as a response instead of yea, yes, sure, ok, etc... Now I know it was rappers that started the ordeal, but which ns member was it who actually brought it to this site. it seems these kids brought it to ns and it just caught like a wildfire....now everyone claims jea whenever possible.

So now the search begins. who is the man who brought the word of JEA to ns?
 
the word came to be on this site a long long time ago, in a galaxie far far away. Most newschoolers that were around back then dont want to talk about it................................... it was a troubeling time.
 
unlike the conversion of 'owned' to 'pwned' that can be simply explained by someone making a typo in the heat of an epic FPS showdown and pressing 'p' instead of 'o', or perhaps both at once haha, the conversion of 'yea' to jea' is seemingly far more complex...
 
could it have been lil_g? i'm not trying to be racist here but ebonics would be his native tounge...
 
I think the real point of contention here is the fact that if you say 'jea', then youre a fucking cunteye.

Nuff said.
 
yeah those guys have been saying it for awhile. But i think this trend, like almost every other, was started by pros, and everyone loves to say and do what the pros do
 
mc eiht started saying "jeah" like 15 years ago. check out some of his old rhymes, or look for him in menace to society, hes the guy who creeps around the diner with the desert eagle and blasts the punk who trys to get away..

so jea is a adaptation of that.

But in skiing, it was the EC and Okemo gangstarz. No doubt.

And B-Crew. Mainly B-Crew.

B-Crew runs all trends. Jersey's, Diplomats, Bladez in general etc...

um i got 'jea' from some guy on set three years ago...two years ago.. i forget. we were shooting in florida. kids in the south are big on JEA..but then again they're all gangsters so it makes sense.
 
ok, since most of you think that it came from rap music.. heres the facts:

Jea, is a word that was ripped off of Rastafarian God, Jah.

Jah: Gods name as based on the Bible, commonly refered to as Jehovah, though the abbreviation is taken also from the Bible.

Commonly extracted in Rasta beats, which amongst other religions recoginize gods name as being Jehova.

After time, the name Jah Rastafari a.k.a Lion of Juddah was mis used as Jea. Its merely is the same word, with the same sound just typed differently. After Bob Marley essentialed formed reggae culture of music, the influence of Jah got out.

Now, kids who do not even know what this word means, mistake jah for jea, and have no idea where it comes from and just think its the same as yeah , replacing the y with a j and dropping the h.

Atleast know where the term comes from before you use it exessivly (sp?) please. Show some respect to the rastafarian culture.

alright will someone PLEASE explain to me how to pronounce Jea. ive never heard anyone say it ever. ive only seen it in the forums of this site (and i see it enough) but is it Jea just like the way it looks? cuase thats not cool at all to say or is there like a ch- at the beginning like chyeaa? someone please explain this to me.
 
jidi's say jea. was created long after jea was said on NS

and it was the okemo crew who started saying it a lot on NS

before that it was rap
 
i started saying J-what!!! last year...but it neevr cuaght on, i still leik it....and then i started syaing jea.
