The olympics SUCK

biathlon is one of the most liked sports in europe. a sport does not have to be practised by a whole lot of people to be popular.
 
Olympics might not be as exciting as X-games nor Dew Tour to your little pre-puberty-eyes. But there's so much history behind this event. Representing your country, and making all those years of training actually worth something. If you think it sucks, then don't watch it and stop complaining.

Please don't bring your hate to NS, there's enough 13 year old bratts in here.

 
biathlon is so badass. Harsh skiing carrying a gun, then shooting small ass targets after you've essentially been sprinting. Mad respect. I guess my grandfather did a ton of biathlon back in europe pre-wwII
 
Ya it totally sucks that your country has the chance to show itself on an international stage and gain tons of money from tourism, not to mention the fact that you have the once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the best athletes in the world from multiple events and experience other cultures visiting you.But I guess if it takes a lil longer to get to the hill for two weeks...
 
just because the male figure skaters' outfits weird you out doesn't mean you should hate all the events. maybe its time you came to terms with your sexuality.
 
This kid isn't that stupid. I partially agree. The Olympics are not dumb, but they need to cater to younger audiences because we ARE the ones who are going to pick how popular the games will be in the near future.
 
To me, the only thing that the Olympics have really messed up is the moguls aerials competitions.If you could get a longer course with bigger jumps and people out there like Andreas and Wallisch or any relatively well known skier out there in those comps it would be awesome.
It would show they're versatility and make it way more interesting to watch
especially is it was a rodeo seven, not a backflip double full
 
I'm not an Olympic supporter but guess what? They're here so make the best of it. That's what I'm doing. And the Olympics will ALWAYS HAVE A FAN BASE. I don't think they give a flying fuck about a younger fan base, they're not trying to reach to them. The Oympics is the Olympics, people will watch no matter what. Think before you speak rookie.

Did you ever stop to think hey maybe I'm just a stupid little kid who doesn't understand how the world works? I will guess that as you get older you will appreciate the sports that are in the olympics more because you wont be so closed minded to people who don't wear pants at their knees and you will actually realize how hard that shit is and how good they are at it. Around the same time you will realize that that is how most of the world feels and you will realize why this thread received so much hate. You should just sit out the next 4 years then make threads again.

Also, OP, you're saying the olympics suck because they don't have the sports you like (ie the sports you might see in the XGames), but then you're also saying the olympics suck because they're going to try to steal the sports from the XGames. How does that make any sense?

They don't suck at all. The only thing I see that's wrong with them is that they don't have half pipe skiing when they have half pipe snowboarding. It's racist. Hehe.

Also +1 to biathlon being badass. Watching the racers cross the finish line is so epic, they are completely out of it, can't even control their saliva. Such a strenuous sport.
 
The only thing I don't like about the Olympics, is that you can't see NBC's Thursday night shows. Haha, I guess The Office can wait.
 
maybe there not as appealing to american park kids. but in the picture of the whole world, theres countries where skating and XC are life. this is what they wait 4 years to watch

When the olympics are on, I watch every event simply because of the culture behind it and the experience. I would never watch some of the events by themselves haha

but really, the olympics have a way bigger fanbase than the xgames or dew tour. just because it's not hoodrat central doesn't mean they suck. the olympics have some of the best athletes and they're a pretty big deal for the entire world
