or a nikon 70/80-200 f4. I don't like push pulls but you can get them for cheap and some people prefer them

Any one know anything about osawa 80-200s in nikon mount? I found one with my moms old camera stuff

i don't have copious amounts of money laying around and the nikon 70-200 f/4 is very hard to find...

nikon 80-200 f4 push pull is very easy to find around 150 bucks. 2.8 version is 400ish then it goes way up from there. All the same optics, all will produce a great image.

eheath is on the ball. all i really use is older lenses because of their awesomeness, cheapness, and the fact i dont give a shit about AF.

currently i have:

Olympus Zuiko 28mm f3.5

Nikon Nikkor 80-200 F4

And got a few more on my list, but not telling which...dont want them ebay prices going up...

adapters are on the way for my yashica 135 2.8 and zuiko 50 1.8. Cost me 50 for the lenses and adapters. Should have sample footage by next week.

Ok, so i just discovered that my sisters old lenses are FL canon lenses. I was wondering if there is an adaptor for this, if there is how would this work with my t2i? I know everyone hates the FD adapter and is the FL the same thing, or whatsup?

just got my vivitar 28mm f2.5 m42 in the mail. Build quality is pretty good, good DOF, good length on my 5d. sample shot bellow(click for full res)

This Nikon F with 50mm F1:2 used to belong to my father, It may be old, scratched and dented but the glass is still very nice, so damn clear. And that all metal construction with buttery smooth focus ring feel so inspiring.

the adapter for the minolta rokkor-x 50mm f1.4 should come today. stoked to get some test footy with it on my gh2.

I just got a Pentax-M SMC 50 1.4, now just waiting for the adapter on my t2i. stoked, these things are golden

I have an olympus zuike 28mm and i love it, but it seems as if the fotodiox adapter i got doesn't fit very well to my t2i. I have a lot of trouble getting the adapter of my camera, i actually have only been able to do it twice.

Any tricks to getting it off? Or should i take it to a local store and have them do it?

I have sort of the same problem. It's not that it's hard, just harder than with a normal lens.

The trick I always use is just lay it flat on the mount, and twist it back till it falls into place. Key is to put pressure evenly on both ends of the lens. I don't know if that's a clear enough description but works for me all the time, much better than just trying to mount it 'normally'.

Good luck!

Oh lol, nvm... In that case you could maybe get the lens of the adapter first, then remove the ring from the canon mount. It could be that the lens pushes out the ring just a fraction. Other than that I wouldn't know...

I have a SMC Takumar 135 3.5 for sale with the case, a m42 to eos adapter and both end caps for sale if anyone is interested. Glass and the body are both mint. Pics upon request. I was thinking around 65 dollars for everything? Price police feel free to advise

Finally got my adapter for my yashica 135 f2.8. Got it for $15 bucks on craigslist.

Not my picture but that's what it looks like.

Went out to test it last weekend with some friends and this is what I came up with.

You and your friends have way to much time on your hands to be that good with that haha.

Other than that the lens looks good.

Non SMC won't be very good quality.

Order of Takumar quality is like this.

'Normal'

Super Takumar

S-M-C/SMC Takumar

I'd always get the SMC version, as it still isn't very expensive, but much better quality glass. The 'normal' glass won't be very good quality most likely.

i wouldn't say that, many super-t's are amazing lenses. Plus with the lack of the extra coatings, you can play around with lens flaring to add an artistic touch to your shots
