The Official NS Rox vs. Sox 2007 World Series Thread

yeah i'm gonna say sox in 4, this rockies team is way better then they're playing but for some reason are just not playing with the energy and intensity they had. Boston came ready the rockies did not and i really wish it ended tonight.
 
Man, I had world series' like this. I wish the Rockies played better, but sad to say I'm pretty confident in the sox sweeping this, not saying 100% but obviously from the way things have been played out so far.I was hoping for a high intensity/exciting 6/7 game series where both teams are in it til the end, but my hopes are slowly fading...
 
no no no no no, three run game is so much harder to come back from than a one run game. com'mon, rockies have two more at bats to do some shit

Meh...I think its more that the rockies can't fucking hit the ball whatsoever and they are not playing their game. They can definitely beat the sox but they just cant get in a groove really...
 
or you could just admit that the sox have a way more depth as a team than the rockies, the rockies rely on 2 major hitters where as all of the sox line up has been hitting well, the rockies have a really good bullpen, but it's just not enough against that sox's bats. i hate to break it to you but, groove or no groove the rockies are just being out played, the sox batters are extremely smart and patient, the sox have had their pitching fielding and bats going
 
in the regular season almost the entire team was batting at .300 or above. I will agree that the overall lineup for the bosox is better. The rockies are a considerbally younger team, if we had a few more guys in the range of helton it would be a way closer series. And you're right Bosox have showed up to play every night. But all of the rockies fans know that this team is capbable of incredible things, maybe not this year but the next and so on. Being the franchises first year in the playoffs in some 12 years i'm very proud of what they accomplished and am proud to where there colors. This is great for the sport and the city. I think if they had come in full steam they could have hung with the sox. as they did in game 2 and almost rallied back tonight. Both teams are very talented and cant wait to see what happens the rest of the series and going into next year.

I think the rockies have alot less pressure now, they're on the edge of the series, but they really have nothing to lose anymore with the stranglehold boston has on them. I have confidence they can snag a few and make it interesting, i dont think they will, but if they show up and play like the true rockies team they are they could make it a series. No dis-respect to you red sox fans, but you havent been watching the rockies as many people havent since they came out of no where, but all year you could just see a spark, and watching this team throughout the year off and on was very awesome. The most boston knows about us is this series, and there is way more then what the rockies have shown. I hope they shine before its all said and done!

 
i love how this thread has turned into a huge claimfest for all the rockies fans saying they were going to sweep.. but now it turned into all those fans defending the rockies and how they can beat the red sox..

face it, even when both teams have their A game.. the red sox win.
 
Exactley!!! All the rox fans came in here and starting bragging about how finally the redsox are going down, and what a better team the rox are and that all us boston fans "will see" what they're talking about. HAHA whos laughing now?
 
dude the rockies had to come back 6 and a half games just to make the wild card, that being said, they couldn't have had that AMAZING of a season, they got on a streak and ran with it for awhile, but streaks end, and boston was the team to end it, boston was THE team to beat all year, and if both teams are on their A game boston would come out of top.
 
not everyone in denver is on the bandwagon. so annoying when kids say they like the rox and all they know is who holliday is. pisses me off so much

sox clinch the alcs on a sunday, and now have a chance to sweep the rockies ending on a sunday

I was really hoping for a good series. Game 2 was close, and game 3 was close for about a half inning, but the Rockies just haven't shown up to play like they have the past month or so. Although even if they did, the Sox are playing such good ball I'm not sure it would matter. Let's see if it can be a series yet, I'm pumped for game 4.
 
ok maybe you arnt, but i am going to say 82% of the fans chearing for them now, back in april, when the rockies sucked balls couldnt name shit
 
ive always liked the sox, and still do...but their fans are like 99% fucking classless assholes with no sense of sportsmanship, im glad that they are going to win but im not looking forward to every single fuck tard yellng about them and and the patriots and how "wiked awesome" they are for the rest of the god damn semester.

yeah check your perspective.  I've been going to Colorado Rockies games since back when they were in the playoffs against the braves. when they had galeraga, larry walker, dante bichette.  So on so forth.  
 
and so what, i'm sure you could've been considered a bandwagoneer at one point in your day.  All fans have.  Its awesome to see so much support for the rockies, and who truely cares how long they've been fans.  not everything in life is a claimfest.

Good Job Red Sox!  you earned it!
