if the celtics win this game it wont be because of garnett, since he was drafted in 96 he has continuously become passive in tight games and is timid. i love the celtics but paul pierce is ther bread and butter within 3 minutes
honestly i was kind of hoping we'd lose this game... then we can win the next, get the momentum back on our side, get everyone in boston pumped up for game 5 in boston.. and win it at home...
both red sox world series championships were on the road (i'm almost positve), so it'd be nice to win one in boston.
My thoughts on the game. I thought both teams played pretty poorly, both missing a ton of shots and free throws. Pierce and Garnett had off nights and couldn't hit a shot for their life. If either one of them had play decently we might have taken that game.
When I saw the list of referees assigned to the game tonight I thought we were fucked. Turns out the refs did a pretty good job, with only a few bad and questionable calls. I'm not sure if thats just David Stern phoning in and calling off the fix after what Tim Danahue said about the NBA fixing a game in 2002 with the lakers. Something about this game just seemed fishy, and I don't trust Stern for a second, not when he keeps that stupid smirk on his face all the time.
correct me if im wrong but didnt bill russell win 3 as a coach, so that would only mean he played in 10, or was he player coach, now im confusing myself.
i actually want to know this im not shutting you up so if you know please gimme the low-down
I said doc should split time between rondo and house to switch things up (esp. with rondos injury), and it worked perfectly. With house in there the lakers couldn't trap as well and were forced to cover him because hes a knock down shooter, giving pierce and garnett more single cover. Posey was another good sub for PJ. Doc made some very good calls, that was a sweet game
