Ok, I just wanted to start a discussion with anyone who has a true size 14 {mondo 30} or higher ski boot to discuss what you have done to get you're boots dialed and looking good as well. As many of you know, or may not know, most companies stop at about a 28/29 mondo shell, and shells tend to increase in volume as they get longer, which can lead to a grey area in the boot fitting dept. So anyone with the same issues I'd like to hear your stories on how you got a nice, contoured, comfortable fit with the proper flex index, and of course last but not least some freeski styled graphics/buckles/colors, etc.

k guess i'lll take this to tgr since its prob way to mature of a topic to discuss with people who buy boots that dont fit

Ouch...my friend has a size 16 or so foot. He had to buy a head boot.. You have to talk to someone in a shop or boot fitter that knows what they're doing. End point; Head makes large boots

been to tons and still no prob sol;ved. my foot is pure bone and tendon, no arch at all. foam injected liner is THE only way, juuuust a matter of finding the right shell, and trust me, i've researched heavily, NO ONE MAKES IT. someone, please prove me wrong.

wrong/ pending on company of couse, mondo 30/30.5 is a 13-14 size us street shoe, roughly of course pending on factors.

theres plenty of shells in the 30 plus range, thats not the issue with me, mine is a volume issue. Imagine buckling on the last buckle all the way over and cranking your boot down as tight as possible and still being way too loose, thats my problem,

You realize at the bottom of that article the chart clearly shows that a 30.0 - 30.5 Mondo is equivalent to a size 12 sneaker...

took me forever to find FT Morrison's in mondo 31. finally got them, but i'm at college, so i haven't got a chance to ride them or get them fitted.

I have FT's in a 30. Shell fit was perfect but overall volume was to much. I installed a Superfeet green insole & had them heat molded. Was 85% good but still a little big on top of foot so installed some 1/4 inch foam tape to top of liner. They are perfect now.

i have size 13-14 shoes and my boots are some head 31.5 boots...

i tried the 31.5 full tilt on and it was very small :(

No. Just because you wear a size 14 shoe and 30 boot doesn't mean a size 30 ski boot is a 14 shoe.

Just take the sum of the two numbers

29 = 11 (2+9=11)

30= 12 (3+0=11)

That doesn't mean a Head mondo 30 is going to be the same as a Salomon mondo 30, they will probably be off by a few mm's, just check the BSL.

it always depend on what boots you own and what kind of shoes..

for exemple..

i can't wear a size 13 or a 14 vans but i can own a Nike 6.0 size 13.

i own a pair o 14 nike SB janoski and some 13 dvs..
