The Official Idaho 2010/2011 winter STOKE thread.

ya brundage was fun but as mentioned the jumps are small...doing 5's felt kinda hucked...but it was still fun and hitting 6 jumps in a row is legit...wish they put of their other boxes and rail...probably soon.
Oh and the rollers at the bottom are real fun to butter, bonk, play around on....but maybe thats just me

I rode up the chair with said skier. I had a black helmet on and a rasta colored sweater on. i was with a couple other guys. one had dynaster extremes from the 80's. ring a bell?

not at all

haha

im usually quite "forgetful" while im skiing though, i remember telling two snowboarders from borah(i think) that i was a junior at boise but dont remember anyone else

maybe he is combining both of us into one person.

haha

i still think we should have a day where we follow eachother around and do the exact same things

your not even allowed to follow like two people on the jumps at bogus anymore let alone like a 30 kid train

I think its a sick idea. Do we have enough people with talent to actually do it though? I know i can't do anything.

I've been getting into ghosting the gapers for as long as I can, Just follow like a foot behind as long as possible. It gets kind of funny when a bunch of us either all do a ghost chain, or ghost multiple people at the same time.

where is the snow?

there's dirt showing all over bogus. its been over a month since i've skied more than 2 inches of fresh. thats not good

I thought for sure we'd see some new snow today, we got a little drizzle in the valley but nothing. I sure hope it picks up. Or we might see an ended season by spring break or sooner.

Looks like I arrived a little late to the "epic train" party, but I'll throw my lot in with guys
As far as the snow situation, just pray for something by Presidents Day or we are probably fucked.

pic of the jumps

They are super nice this year, as long as you get to bogus after the snow has warmed up so its not hard pack ice its pretty nice. Its just been pretty windy lately.

Picture of the rail jam today, lots of people throwing it down and sick setup. Biggest jam i have seen at Bogus.

problem when it softens from what I have heard, is that speed is hard to achieve, also the bottom one is deceiving, people always tell me they come up to it thinking they have enough or too much and then they come up short

Yep, this is true too, there is that perfect time to hit them without having to worry to much about either of the issues.

Just cause Andrew forgot to mention... My pics. haha
Anyway, I'm kinda stoked for another pow-ish day, last one was eh because it was all ice underneath.

bogus was fun as fuck last night

shredded stashes of fresh (and rocks) on the face with headlamps

so awesome

fuck yes!!! that is awesome, the face was quite nice yesterday besides the occasional rock, but some drops had nice landings

na dude I went to tamarack on a pow day...it was weak, theres really nothing fun in terms of pow skiing...the park is definitely the funniest thing there...its so dope dude...

I haven't been to tammy in 2 months, what do they have setup in park? and if anyone has been up in the past week how is the powder/ snow?

yeah i know, Tammeracks park was kinda weak but you don't go to tammerack to ski park anymore. Powder was super nice up there.
