The Official asian_allen Appreciation Thread

whats wrong with allen? sure some of the things he says can be quite critical some times (or alot of the time) riding with him hes pretty chill....but if you guys are all basing him of NS and his posts of ridiculing people, i would say 80% of the people involved in this thread are just as guilty as he is...

ha and whats shakin drew? ready to ski?

I didn't know if chugging whiskey after work qualifies as effort.

Can you midwest kids get out of your mutual ball sucking circle and not have to defend every single thing about one of your own?

i finnally realized whats wrong with you. you arent capable of riding normal skis so you ride snowblades and since you do that no one likes you, maybe one day you will get friends and they will defend your prissy ass.

meh. get your head out of your ass... MN is not kansas. (sorry Kansas;)

i have rolling hills , 4,000acres of park land. 4 lakes, the number one suburb in America (according to money magazine) 3 championship golf courses, all within 10miles..... basically i live in utopia.... just no mtns;(

o check out some of the world class skiers that have come out of MN's "bunny hill's"

Oh and to Drew, nothing I have ever done smacks of effort. If you don't find my shit funny then you haven't been drinking or don't understand anything about a 10th grade reading level (known as Minnesota doctorate).

Who the fuck would want to live in MN?

Money magazine? I am sure their 9 annual subscribers are pumped about that. I have hills around me too, there are probably 2000 feet, those are as big as your ski mountains, pathetic. If MN is utopia, then I would rather live in hell.

What good skiers have come out of MN? Aside from some mediocre cock smoker with an alright edit whose dick NS sucks. And don't give me some bullshit about someone who moved out of MN when they were 15. Don't even think about naming Matt Sternbenz, he is a pimple on the history of freeskiing's ass.

And 4 lakes, holy fuck! Combined that's like an ocean.

Here's the deal. If you have to actually back up the home town you live in and justify why it's great, then it really isn't. If someone talks shit about my hometown, I really don't care, because I know how it is. I don't want to live to there because it doesn't align with my current lifestyle, but it is way better than nearly everywhere else in the country, so it doesn't matter what people say.

at least he doesn't live in hick ass colorado. i would rather live somewhere respectable and drive 3 hours to go skiing (its part of the experience and its fun chilling with hommies in the car) than in a shitty village in the woods without plumbing.

Straight bangers!!!

Oh wait,

This isn't even rollerblade related hate. That shit is just straight up stupid. I am sure someone can make look it good in the future, but for now, just let it go.

If you're ever out west message me. I will set up a lawn chair in front of the flat box you hike all day and laugh for 8 hours straight.

Midwest represent!

because skiing is the most important thing in life and it should be the deciding factor of where you live. you are aware that you still live in a hick ass mountain town, right? at least there is stuff do do in the summer in the midwest.

Apparently it isn't because I live in San Diego right now.

Breck isn't a hick ass mountain town, sorry. You're think of like Buena Vista or Pagosa Springs.

Well after you found out that you can't actually ski (judging by your pow shots from your other promo) you would just be relegated to the flat box, the only feature you feel confident on.

so you live in san diego, where the closest mountain is shitty bear mountain and you are making fun of the midwest?

I haven't been there in like 7 years, but I assume bear mountain has a way better park than anything in the midwest.

And some opportunities are more important than skiing at this point.

Yes I can make fun of the midwest. I can walk across the street and go surf. You can walk to the walk to the local Dairy Queen and ponder what was is wrong with your life.

i live in mass, so i can also walk across the street and go surf, but you dont even have snow within an hour radius of where you live, so you should probably fuck off.

i garuantee u half of these gapers you speak of can throwdown harder than u ever could if u need evidence check out any of horners vids, always top rated.

Ultimate pwn? ^^

its picture time snowblades.............

as for me i am far from a gaper, but am nowhere near drew's level......

That ain't surfing there. If I lived where you live I wouldn't ski or surf.

The sad thing is that skiing to some of you is your entire life and live in a place not conducive to it and also suck at it.
It's like you people have stockholm syndrome or something for the midwest.

Oh shit a switch 7, never done one of those. Welcome to 2006. You want pictures or video. Come out and take them yourself. The last thing you want to do on your split at work is drag the video camera around.

youre probably right i would get schooled. but i guess skiing is all about being amazing and getting spansorcized these days. fuck fun right?

Fuck fun. Fun got ruled out by 85 dollar tickets and f-350s going 14 mph on 9 with TX plates when the roads have a half inch of snow.
I'm not to the sponsored level, nor will ever be, at least for Summit County. It's all regionally relative. I can't say I wouldn't take it or try for it if I was that level. I can pay for my own shit, it doesn't cost that much in the grand scheme of things. 2 pairs of skis, a pair of bindings and outerwear for a year is just over $500 for top of the line shit, that's a weeks work most places
You guys got me off on a tangent; fun in the midwest is just a proportion of true fun. Just as a life in the midwest isn't a life worth living.

You're on the list too.
Nothing better than just waking up, strapping on the rollerblades and rollerskatin' to class.*
*I don't actually hate on rollerbladers, but after seeing your 'edit' it really just made me think of a 12 year old on a razor.

surfing in cali is only god like 2 months of the year. and you have obviously never surfed the east coast in the winter. also , i am calling bullshit about san dieago. you are obviously from a hick ass town in colorado, but moved to san diego to make up for it. i wouldn' be surprized if you lived in a shitty town in north east san diego county, 45 minutes from the beach.

Wow tough guy. Call out city.
I was born in South CA, I grew up and my life till I was 18 on the central coast CA and I will die somewhere in CA.

It isn't 'god for 2 months a year' I can guarantee San Diego's worst month of surf is better than you best month. The crowds suck, but it's just a bunch of college kooks at most spots. Plus I have every morning off, so it's fine. I am sure you get some 'super sick head high waves like all the time during the winter' If you're arguing about CA verse MA for waves I really don't have to prove anything, think what you want.
I lived in CO, yes, never in some 'hick mountain town' though (well I did live in Placer Valley for 2 months; but that ain't a town). Even though most mountain towns are probably more cosmopolitan than than the town you live in or nearly all places in the midwest (barring Chicago). Plus you would give your right nut to live in Breck, the front range or probably even Alma.

I live literally 100 yards from the beach, it takes me a single minute to walk there because I walk slow. I do still check the waves every morning with the webcam, which is right in front of my house, because I am lazy as fuck and can do it in bed. But then I walk across the street and check it with my own eyes and my coffee cup.
Enjoy your sweet life that you will eventually leave because you find something better. Let me know what you look like so I can snake in you the park or out in the water.
