Post in here whether you're an incoming freshman like me or someone already attending. Let's get some networking going! Maybe post up where your dorm is and where you plan to ski also.

Langford (dammit)

and I plan skiing Moonlight Basin and maybe Bridger Bowl.

GO.

Im transfering in as a senior, Not sure where im living yet (just put in my housing app. because i was planning on living off campus untill recently). also not sure where im skiing, probably figure it out when i get out there.

I'll be a junior (fifth year?) in the picture-taking program. I ski at Bridger most of the time, although I go out backcountry skiing when I don't think I'll die on the mountain.

I'll buy you booze for a 40% gratuity.

junior. donno where ill be skiing yet this year, probably still big sky, but kinda wanna see what happens with park crew with everyone leaving this year

haha. i know a few skiers that are gonna be freshman heading there. im going but not till the year after next. still have a year of high school

I will be a Junior this year, living off campus. I will also be a youth instructor at Moonlight, but possibly BigSky or Bridger. Either way, I will be skiing a little bit of everything.

sounds like they all were. well see what happens. i just have a hard time justifying losing all the other sick terrain at BS just for a better park.

I'll be a senior as well, obviously not living on campus, and will buy you booze on the same basis as sam.

Bridger pass with probably frequency at big sky and 6 day college to jackson hole

I'll be in North fifth floor, pass to Moonlight as well and I will be skiing the occasional pow day at Bridger.

Ill be a sophomore...no idea where im staying yet prolly some shitty dorm since i still havent sent in my housing yet but I ride at Big Sky

junior (4th year) and will most likely be shredding big sky

this is because:

- bridger passes are nearly as expensive. although i love bridger on a good pow day, it gets skied out quick and i do not particularly enjoy it on any other day (lots of moguls, flat lower mtn, shitty park)

- mooonlight has good rails, but not a whole lot else in my opinion. had a pass there my freshman year and got REAL sick of it

for some of the incoming freshman, If you can decide on where you wanna ski, buy early. I was able to buy a pass a few years ago before I turned 19 for way cheap.

a junior pass (13-18 year old) right now is only $320. it was $199 when I skied there in 2003-2005. so If you hurry, you can cop a Bridger pass for cheap!

if you check out catapolloza moonlight usually has a really good deal for the three days right before school like 350 or 400 or something close to that

hi, my name is pat. this will be my 4th year but im a dumbass so ill be considered a soph/junior (not sure which) in mechanical engineering. i havent bought a pass yet cause im broke and its lookin like i will be for a while

truth.

I'll be a Junior in graphic designLiving off campus
and my sisters coming to msu next year also and she'd like some new pals too..just giving you guys a heads up.

Yo I'm Guz and i'll be a freshman. Don't know where i'll be riding yet so someone give me some advice

I like to have a park but one of the biggest reasons I'll be in montana is for pow/bc. So I'm looking for kinda the best balance of both if that's possible to find.

Also if I were able to get two passes what would y'all suggest?

Question: Where do the most MSU kids ride? (like actual skiers, not gapers) I just wanna ski where everyone else is so that I can start meetin skiers ya know?

theres sizable msu kid crews at every mountain. Alot of the park rats ride moonlight, alot of park rats and all mountain rippers ride big sky, and alot of all mountain rippers ride bridger as well.

Theres a large gathering of NSers and just chill park skiers are Big Sky and it's always a good time at Big Sky whether there is new snow or not.

a ton of kids buy bridger passes i know, and its a sick mountain but it gets tracked out FAST on pow days, and the sidecountry is kind of a junk show (just look at the avvy that got triggered by that kid last year).

big sky has the most variety, and theres another good sized gathering of nsers there. not sure how the park will be this year though, pretty much the whole park crew left last year.

and then C_Perin and most of those guys get moonlight passes because their park is by FAR the best, however i personally feel like theres just not enough other stuff to justify a pass.

Yah but all the cool kids ride at Big Sky!

Me, Ben, Bibs_skibum, Pat_in_the_hat, millions of RMU people, and some TSP guys.

yeah... idk what ill be doing this year yet though. with no park crew moonlight is lookin awful inviting. idk

having no park is fine if its a good snow year but if its like last season was... its a nice option to have.

Yah but Moonlight is windy as balls and gets so dark and depressing around like 1. Their park is awesome and they have some fun runs off the ridge and they have baller tree runs but it is just so small.

And Big Sky just has so much stuff and Challenger and Shedhorn are the most fun lifts on the mountain on a pow day.

But I guess I only ski park anymore on crappy snow days...Which hopefully will be less days than last year.

absolutely. i however dont love big skys management and their lack of park devotion.

on an entirely unrelated note, since this has become a chat fest, you know where you are rooming next year?

I have no idea. They still haven't gotten back to me yet...did you have to turn in the 200 dollar pre deposit thing? They told me I didn't have to...since I was returning.

Glad I turned you to the dark side...aka the fun/party/shenanigan side.

PS: If you give Bibs_skibum and Pat_in_the_hat a quick handie they will buy you beer.
