for cu boulder (it's cu, not uc. uc implies the state cali system), if you're a full-time nonresident business student (their fees are the highest) it's $10816 per semester. additional fees are about $400 per. dorms are $2500 for the year. that puts you at $24932 per year plus some course fees depending on what you take. kind of steep, but scholarship money is so easy to come by. not to mention financial aid if you qualify. at du, it's probably $32000/year total for in and out of state kids. yah they have some good programs. just not what i was looking for/needed, but they might for you. denver is one ugly city though.

CMC was alright, i took a tour their 2 years ago but decided not to go. it would be killer for skiing, its a nice small school. older type style building, which i didnt like, but you might so tour it.

i went to CMC in steamboat for a semester but went back to school at smith. its close to badass skiing, you meet lots of kickass people, have a total blast, but i dont care how many classes you take there the education factor BLOWS! try and get a well paying job after graduating from there and then supporting a family. hmmmm not so much. this is just the steamboat branhc that im talking about so maybe the other branches have better academics, idont know.

how is the skiing near syracuse, because i want to go there, but im worried about skiing

its funny how many kids dont realize taht schools in colorado blow. Ask anyone at boulder how often they go skiing and 99% of them dont go more than on the weekends. I go to the U of U nd head up to the hills everyday when my classes end at noon. Plus you cant argue the fact that utah has better skiing that the resorts along I-70 do.

CU boulder is a better shcool than U of U....skiing isn't the most important factor when talking about colleges.

-

for me it is i mean it has to be a good college but it has to be near skiing

no snow..

no girls..

no future..

Snowfall dictates the days activities if its snowing do it another day...

if you want to play the 'proximity to the mountain' game, crested is about 15 minutes from wasted state.

CU boulder isnt that much better of a school than the U of U. Basically if you graduate from either school you are going to get a good job. No one is going to look at your degree and go 'oh hmmm you graduated from U of U and not CU...sorry cant give you the job' basically a degre is all you need the school is not that much better that its going to make a difference. Maybe if it was between harvard and U of u it would. But besides that ive partied with a bunch of kids from CU and they are all fucking posers it seems like. Rich yuppie stoners who talk all night about how good they rip, yet never ski and wehn they do they still blow.

It's more like 25 minutes going about 65 mph. That's usually what it takes me. But there is mad road construction on 135 between CB and Gunny right now.

i dunno who you're hanging out with, but there are a ton of chill kids in boulder who do ski all the time.

and if you graduate from arts and sciences at either school, there is definately no guarantee that you will get a job. about 60% of the kids that graduate from college don't even use their degrees. the only real job guarantee i've seen is in engineering or nursing. everyone needs nurses. the signing bonuses some hospitals are offering are crazy.
