New stuff is not pop-punk, its actual good music. You're saying Guns n' Roses, Iron Maiden, and Stone Temple Pilots, which avenged draws heavy influence from, is pop punk? Shame on you, you stupid scene kid, you need to educate yourself on some good music. Props to A7X to realizing the whole metalcore screaming thing is a fad. I do like some metalcore, but its gonna end eventually.

^ well said. i will forever be a fan of a band that knows when change is needed and when too much is in fact too much.

too many people (in general, not just on this message board) classify everything that isn't Cannibal Corpse or Maroon 5 into one big ass group and call it 'EMO' or 'pop-punk'. i hate titles as much as everyone else, and i honestly couldn't come up with a better "classification" system, but damn.. the people who know nothing about music and have no appreciation for anything other than what they like are real easy to spot.

 
if they took that niggas voice outta the new songs that would be some sick music. but i really loved that band before he injured his throat, and well im not close minded, say what you want, i just cant get into them right now.
 
They are sooooo sell outs. Catchy riffs, lyrics and chorus. They are just making them look like fools.
 
I haven't listened to much of it, but the couple songs I've heard sounded overproduced and way too clean for my taste.

I know they claim to be hxc and everything.. its just that 'avenged sevenfold' is from the bible... and i also know that there are all these christian hxc bands now a days.. just curious.
