The No Poles Thread to End All No Poles Threads: An Essay by Mr. WiRipper2

i dropped my poles, and it was fun...like to learn grabs its the best. But i love my poles, and they are the full length...not little tiny sticks. They give me balence on rails, swing weight for spins. No poles is fun, but i just love my skipoles way too much to give them up.

if your poles are less than 3 feet, please ditch them. whats the point of using poles if your just gonna have lil baby midget ones that look gay? either use decent sized poles (like 46inches if your 6') or dont use poles at all. theres no inbetween cuz then you just look like a tool.

i tried skiing no poles once, and didn't like it. I didn't feel it improved my balance or anything. Maybe I was just having a bad day skiing no poles. No poles is definitely not for everyone.

why?

I just cut 8'' off my poles because i don't actually use them to ski, just to get on the chair. I like them.

i gave it a shot... ill admit it is fun in the park... but id never go without them while charging a steep line or something....

i have a broken thumb and was forced to go no poles because i cant hold onto poles, i admit it does look gay but i feel so much more confident on rails because i believe its helped my balance a lot.

i used no poles the other day because i thought "hey what the hell" and i felt clean on the tricks i was doing. It's a dope way to train in my opinion

its fun to do every once in a while, between the legs and beinf the back pole passes are where its at, been doin em for years

so no poles, i do it a good amount, but i feel ackward and naked without them. ive gone thru the park, ive spun with no poles and its just kinda weird and in general im not a fan. especially on the mountain, not having poles is a total disadvantage. people started skiing with poles for a reason, they help, alot. without poles turning in alot of snow and doing quick turns is waaay harder. im still not totally convinced though that i need them for the park, im going to keep skiing without them cause i like the challenge, but when it comes down to a nice day and no fukin around, im using poles.

i fuckin hate everybody on this fuckin shitty ass website. i wish i fuckin had a bullet for each and everyone one of you fags except like 5 people....fuckin fags.

dude you ride at my mountain...don't think i won't fuck you up next time i see you...count on that shit. nuggs will mobb on you dog.

oh shit now i'm up in this bitch....

whoever actually has the balls to actually walk up to one of my real grimey niggas who does not rock poles and say anything to their face about it, i dare you.. talk shit to our face you pussies all you do is talk shit in type.. and to all my homies who rock them hella short poles, like my nigga lockie.. keep it greezy and they got steeze and you guys dont so suck a dick.. i dont even ski and i know for damn sure you dont need long poles because, what the fuck, is we racin here? nah..

so if you had real steeze, like the main newschooler picture where the man andy is doing a sick ass zero spin with no poles, then you too would drop the poles, and respect those who you are biting off of... get some steeze you pussies.. ps.. i dont even ski but i bet i'll shit on YA'LL!

pss.. and we all know motha fuckin schwaglah dropped them poles first

psss.... bitches i;m back to straighten one more thang out.. you may only rock no poles if you're from washington or oregon, cuz thats some real original northwest shit, bitch

yeah, i hurt my arm the other day and couldnt hold my pole. I put them away and was going higher in the pipe and felt so much more comfortable just dinking around on the ground trying little spins and blindside 270s out of 1 foot rails, it was sweet. i could hold grabs for a year. i really actually like it inside the park, it feels cool, but i have to hold the sleeve of my jacket always otherwise my hands are like AHH>

a lil'to late bra

it's called snowblading.....

and it looks fukin' GAY

good post, but not using poles all the time is un called for and looks horrible, practice a bit with no poles but ride mostly with poles it looks better

quite acting like your on some sort of throne. and quit acting like you started all this no pole shit..ahh i ski snoqualmie im the started of no poles, shut the fuck up.

i totally agree. when you ski without poles its just like your free, and it helped me to imporve my steeze because errors are more easy to see without poles and you have to be more careful no to shake arms or things like that. its just so fun...i like to do like 2 days with poles for one day without...everybody that hate that style should seriously try it, and after complain if they arnt persued

may not have started it.. but heres a group that have been doing it for about 4 years.

and lockie will beat the shit outta you if you come and talk shit at snoqualmie

the only reason you started dioaling your tricks is casue you were having fun and moral was increased, instead of being grumpy casue of how cold it was.. those thoughts left your mind with your newfound entertainment and focused more on the fun then your being cold

I like the feeling of dropping my poles, but then my hands drop and I spend way more time in the backseat than I should.

i've always used poles but one day i was havin an awesome day and then i just ate it really hard of a pretty big jump...my friends also fell but didn't eat it as hard as i did

joking around we went to the minipark to "boost our self esteem" haha

yeah so we used no poles for a bunch of runs through the mini park in trains and such

what a fun day...

no poles = a blast

all i gotta say is one other kid from the mountain is gettin stomped, and if i ever find out who you are i will mobb on you too. come see me man. don't think i won't trip

i used to think( and still kinda do) that it looks gay, but im definetly going to try it now it sounds fun ill try it tomorrow and let you all know what i think. and then ill make my finale desision on wheather its good or no good.

I agree with this shit in every way. All my friends rag on me for not goin' with poles on the park days, but I feel so much freedom without them.

yeah, it's fun, but sometimes i need them for real skiing and stuff. so i do both. i agree with you one hundred per cent. and please don't flame on me for saying "real skiing" people

if "heated" means zonin on 8o's chillin with your homies taking turns on one computer talking shit and laughing the whole time after a long day of riding... then yes... he is heated

This site is incredible.

6 monthes ago you were all bashing no poles soooooo redic hard. No one could even joke about no using poles.

A few pros pick it up and a few good people talk it up here saying it’s fun.

Next thing you know all you people who bashed it sooooo hard and said you would never do it are givener no poles. Unbelievable.

Grow up and get a mind for yourselves.
