The next big music genre is

mashup kings like girl talk cant be famous. girl talk really doesnt make any money from the songs he makes and he doesnt really get full credit either because its all samples. even if he does get really big someone will sue his ass some day. thats why his label is called illegalart

rock and indie rock is going to slowly die. theres really nothing new happening with that genre. the only way to expand is by using synths which is already done and more classical instruments which Arcade Fire does. its like what happened to classical music. no one listens to that shit because theres nothing new happening and its become so stale over the few decades. same thing is going to happen with rock. the cycle just repeats itself

But yeah... I do see a dawn of the gangsterous hip hop and a rise of more upbeat, less hyped out stuff.

i really don't it was like skiing when it was underground, way more tight knit and way more chill. once your bring more outsiders into an underground community it goes sour.

8 bit chiptune, midi plugged into a gameboy color, sucks the sounds out of it and they make music, so it is the sound from a video game.
 
had a feeling that was what it was lol. i respect that some people like it and all but i still think it sounds stupid, but thats just my opinion lol
 
terrible song dude. a decent song with video game sounds is Mushroom man by Butch. I still don't like that video game shit though, i can make those sounds on my computer using a program i will not speak of.

all you have to do is upload like a second of any noise into a sampler, hit loop, push the octaves up and there you go. but a 4/4 kick snare and thats crystal castles right there.
 
i like techno since i got to this new school. kids just arent down with rap and reggae like in the city
 
yea i COULD go through the trouble of getting samples or i could just make custom sounds on my laptop which takes a couple seconds
