The new line site is up! and it sucks...

I think it's really dope. I spent like an hour watching product vids and looking at stuff...
 
my only complaints are. the background, the little zoom feature for the skis, and the lack of a team page.
 
the background hurts my eyes and offends my dignity...

it reminds me of a badly knitted wool sweater made by a half blind grandmother in a town in eastern europe
 
haha...i love the title of this.

1. Skier's Union is coming soon, bigger, better and in general more awesome

2. You'll see your beloved Line team on the Skier's Union..lineskis.com is about line skis gear and news

3. The videos are big, but worth the wait, our suggestion is to hit pause, let it load a bit, then play.

4. Still some bugs to work out with lag times and navigation

5. New site means more news, stories, videos special features contest, podcast, etc

6. can't please everyone with the design but we think its cool and hope most do too.

hope that clears things up, like a billion people have gone to it in the last few days and it hasn't blown up which is promising. keep checking back for updates and improvements.

 
i'd be happy with it if you just changed the background to something a little less...bright (i can't think of any other word to describe that atrocity).
 
I guess I am not the first one to notice it since some one posted on there site, but the pandora is not the fattest womens ski out there.
 
Id say its ugly and the product videos take an ungodly amount of time to load, needs some work~
 
we've given our fact checker 100 lashes for this, wording has been changed. please don't compare us to shady car dealers, ha, we're all about the truth, thanks for the call out. Its good to know other companies are stepping up producing wide ladies skis too.
 
i was most angered skiers union glad it will be back up :D, and the website is really laggy, hope it gets fixed up a little. guess i am a hipocrite for saying that the background gives me a headache, i mean i walk around town in a checkered sweatshirt...
 
yea other than the vids taking forever i think the site is pretty good setup. i like how they give you the specs for every ski length like radius and stuff that they didnt have before

No offence to Line, I mean I love they're stuff.. But in my opinion the site looks like shit
 
I think it's super sick! The skis, everything is way awesome. I really like how you click on skis and it has a small section of the ski for the picture and you click on it. Yeah the videos are slow but when a video is that large with such high quality it's gonna take some time to load. Remember they didn't open the website on time so they obviously had to hurry and cram to finish it which means there's probably still lots of glitches left to work out.
 
We love hearing feedback but it would be much more helpful if you could be more specific to what exactly your referencing to and your reasons.

It would be great to get clarificaiton on comments relating to:

1. If you don't like it, are you refereing to the way it looks? OR the way it works? and specifically what part and why?

2. Same question for those that like it.

3. If you don't like waiting for big, high quality video to load, obviously the only other option is low quality, small video, would you prefer that?

Also to clarify on the background, we're assuming you know that it is TV static, right?

I actually like every part of it. It works great, videos don't take too long to load, I happen to like the background, and the layout is nice to look at.
 
If you drop out of a degree in life does that mean you committed suicide?

btw I think the line sight is mad hyphy and all the product videos are amazing! I find the music captures the whole ski's "personality" so well!
 
Ok, honestly guys. How many people go to the Line website, look at a pair of EP Pros, and then say "Damn, if this background was more appealing I might have to grab a pair of those."

Seriously, sometimes this site criticizes for the sake of doing so. It's just the website background...

I think its great, other than the vids loading time which is a bit slow but worth it with size of the video, the rest of the site is pretty sweet, dosnt look like anything else out there which is what line has been doing there whole existence. Once the skiers union is up shits gonna rock.
 
My only complaint is about the videos. They don't even take super long for me to D/L, but after they finish, its still choppy as a mother fucker. Whats the point of waiting for it to load if it doesn't make the slightest difference??
 
i saw that, but i didn't see it as " blind soul 540" i thought it was more like "andy parry grind 450 out" cause i'm pretty sure that's what it's called...but yeah it was really sick
 
it's funny to read all the complaints on the background... i can honestly say that i visited the site 4-5 times before reading this thread and never even noticed the background. And now that I look at it, it doesn't bother me at all, it's just a background...
 
i love the site. nice design, background fits very well and content is sick! product videos are very cool feature (garrett russell in elizabeth video: ftw?!)
