The new ipod nano

I'm not liking the shake to shuffle songs thing. What happens when you are running, or on a bumpy plane ride, etc? I don't want to keep skipping to a random song.
 
I would need a bigger iPod, but that thing is dope... the shake feature is kinda cool, but I think it would get annoying that the song changes whenever you shake your iPod. Colors are cool though, and it looks nice.
 
im not sure but my friend has a sony phone and you have to push a button then shake it to change the song
 
except for the fact that creative zens are pieces of shit and break easily and they wouldn't cover shit, even though my sisters was under warrenty.

150 for 8 gigs isn't bad.

I had to fuckin pay 200 for 4 gb, but that was over a year ago. Im still pissed about that desision. Ill wait until 16gb or 32 gb is down to $100.

 
im pretty sure the shaking thing is when your in the shuffle list it just mixes them up. it doesnt change the song when your listening to it.

And i spot datarock, now my friends are gonna be all over this music. they used to make fun of me for my beep boop beep music but we'll see whos laughing

and i on a side note, sick colors, they need to make videos in those colors
 
just normally shaking it wont do anything, but rapidly shaking is what will change teh song, they new this because they know a lot of poeple run with it and dont want tit changing songs every second
 
Ok i beat you can turn the shake feature off

Ipod pisses me off always making new products that i end up wasting money on
 
Its perfect for what I need - I have about 4 gigs of music I listen to consistently and can load movies and such onto it for bus rides to work and back.

and I'm sure you can turn off the shake feature, that would be one of the first flaws that they would have discussed.

and 150 sounds good for an 8gb, I paid 214 for my 8gb current nano. I can't see me buying one right now, my ipod is running fine and they last for so long, it won't be a year or two before I decide to get a new one.

Anyone see those wireless earbuds that they have now too? don't even have to take the ipod out to change a song.
 
Maybe. I do need a music player, but there is a much better selection out there other then iPod's. I just have no idea where to get them, and iPod's are pretty cheap.
 
The new one looks pretty cool and i like the shake feature i think itll be hilarious to see people shaking their ipods vigorously lol.

I still have a 2gb mini and its dying but i had a question, mine has the hard drive and shuts down in the cold, do the flash ipods have that same problem? Like my batt dies out 20x faster when its cold like in my pocket on the mtn.

And I don't know I'm thinking about an Ipod touch but I feel like that will be bulky for skiing and I'll worry about landing on it all the time. Any suggestions like "dont buy the touch?" lol I think its pretty sweet.
 
i would get an ipod classic

most practical and pretty rugged

the nanos have flash drives that will survive in cold weather, but i have never had a problem with my classic

i wouldn't get a touch for skiing

there have been some instances on this forum that indicate that itouches don't like being landed on

some people use ipod shuffles for skiing because that thing won't break no matter what you do to it

and it's like $50
 
Yeah that might be the way to go, thanks dude, and the shuffle might be best. I can see the touch being averse to having humans on it.

Actually, it pretty much looks exactly like the 2nd generation iPod nano, just with a bigger screen. Which was out before the zune. Apple definitely doesn't take it's design cues from Microsoft, they don't really take their design cues from anybody, it's the other way around.
 
I got my ipod touch for free with my macbook so I cant complain, the touch is pretty awesome, like a mini extension of my macbook, when im at an airport and too lazy to bring out my macbook I just get out my touch and do emails and stuff on that.

Seeing as the touch is only 229 id rather get that instead of a nano, but damn the new touch has built in speakers which is going to be so annoying on the bus and trains
