Hi. I'm Kyle, I ski, but I live in Iowa. Not the best location if you ask me but my little resort has a park so it's all good.

So i've been lurking this site for a while now, and I finally got around to making a name. I actually didn't know there was a forum, I just used this for pictures and skiing news and stuff. Anyway I just wanted to say hi and let everyone know that I'm going to be a good member and contribute a lot to this site. I'm not the best skier but I hope you don't mind. I'll put some pictures up later.

Last thing, I feel kind of weird asking this, but is there anything kids on newschoolers do that i should avoid? I don't want to look like a newbie, even if i am.

just make sure that before you make a thread on something you use the searchbar to see if a similar one has already been created. Apart from that, all is pretty laid back, welcome

you should try to avoid that guy whos favorite animal is a bear. i hear hes a dick.
 
i'm not sure, but i'm pretty sure k-rob either has or had that avatar. if he still does have it, i'd recommend you change as no one likes doubles.

but yea....just don't be an ass and you'll do fine.
 
just make sure to post in the right threads (ski related stuff in Ski Gabber, non-ski related stuff in Non-Ski Gabber, local stuff in Regionals, etc.), join some good cults (trick tips, ladies men, etc.), and overall have a good time. welcome to the family
 
it wouldnt be a big deal with any other icon, but k-rob is a really well known member, so people tend to associate that icon with him. i suggest changing it
 
ya a lot of the time ppl don't read the names but just look at the avatar to see who it was that posted. Its always good to have something unique of your own that ppl will associate with you if you plan on being a member for a while.

Dude, relax. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I thought it looked sweet, so I added it. Any chance you could make something like it for me? Like I was thinking he could be holding a sledgehammer or something?

hey, welcome to NS. the forums here can pretty much give you the information on anything you need to know. im fairly new here to, so im still trying to get used to things.
 
haha those are sick icons. my jiberish icon got stolen by a couple noobs back in the fall so i had to change. winter warlock from "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". thinking about changing my name to WinterWarlock
