The new Ar7

Anybody demoed the AR7? not feeling the graphic but I think I want to pick up a pair for next season. what do people think?

I have tested the ar7 stats are 171 118-85-108 with flex rating 6 tip, 8 waist, 7 tail. A very nice ski much better buttering capabilities than the ar6 due to the ar50 sidewall combined with the hybrid triple zone core.

another question. what is the best size for me? I will probably mount an inch off true center so I can ski all mountain. I am 5'8 150lbs. advanced skier.

171? My suspects are 161. very very short.

does anybody want to compare the Ar7 and the K2 revival for me? Those are my two choices. how does K2 usually hold up? and what am I getting into with a no camber rockered park ski with the revival?

I was really skeptical about the new ar7 cuz i dont like capped skis... but what armada did is great. The ski is super solid on rails, even with a demo binding, and a really good spinner. it does not corner as well as the ar6, but because of the new sidewall/cap design, is more durable!

I actually think the graphics are pretty dope..

The AR7 is going to ride almost identical to the AR6 if you've had a chance to ride that ski.

I think the ski will actually hold up better than the old AR6 on icier conditions. With the sidewall under foot it will give you more grip than a cap ski. It does have cap construction in the tip and tails which lower its swing weight to help spin faster.

Did a little AR7 review on the link below:

im thinking of picking these up, but am prob going to salomon suspects just for primarily jump use, and they're cheaper. anyone care to give opinions

"I have never ridden suspects but have seen people complain about them so I will tell this guy they area shit even though I don't have any first hand experience." Come on man you can't just straight out of the blue say that suspects are shit without any justification.

If you are using the ski primarily for jumps then go with the suspects. Suspects are a fantastic ski, probably my favourite park ski that I have ever ridden, but the durability on rails is just not there. If you are only using it for jumps though I would definitely go with the suspects.

Thanks for giving me and honest opinion, i will definitely take them to rails but on days where im gonna do a lot of rails i have some old invaders ill use, I just cant use invaders on jumps it scares me when butter down a landing. I want something more stable and I know I'll get that in the suspects.

See I'm prob going to Colorado this year (I'm from middle of PA so I got no mtns.) and I'm not that good I can do handrails and some 270 on and off depending on the rail, but when i step up to a jump thats entirely ice and i use invaders you can tell I'm scared to do anything over a 5, and I have other sports I can't be injured for. So when I go to Colorado I want to have the stabilty and insurance in my skis so maybe I can do more 5s and maybe even a 7. I'd be so pumped. Speaking of which holla at me if your a local at Beaver Creek in Colorado thats probobly where I'm going not to sure yet if I'm going there or even to Colorado.

Again, Thank you

personally I liked my suspects last season. I know they have the durability problem, but they were great skis for me and skied awesome out of park as well. Hopefully they fixed the durability problem this year. But I think I am going to get ar7 just because of the 100% positive things I have heard about Armada.

My Question though:

What size? I am buying online, because none of my local shops carry armada.

SPECS:

Height - 5'7 (not really growing much anymore)

Weight - 140-150ish

Advanced skier, mounting griffons 1 inch off center probably. Skiing 60-40 park-all mnt.

Should I get a 171 or a 176?

sorry for the dub post,

but what do you think for a east coast weekend skier. like I said, I ski 60-40 park-all mnt.

I want a durable multi-season ski.

Ar7 or k2 revival?

Well i have owned them and they where shit.

The cores horrible too.

And the guy above me get the 176 and mount on the line.

just talked to armada today they said almost all there riders mount -2 cm and if you are looking to go fast and stomp big kickers get the 181's looking at your height weight and skill level

hi guys, im debating on getting the ar7 or ar6 i can get the ar6 for a lower price also which one should i get,?

Um no.

The ar7 has 50/50 hybrid sidewalls which lower the swing weight and makes the ski both stiffer and lighter. But if you short on cash the ar6 is still a great ski.
